Low Oil Pressure Indicator flashes after starting the car?

I have an SUV and yesterday for the first time I noticed that the Low Oil Pressure indicator was flashing when I started the car. I did not drive further and stopped the car. After 2 min, I started the car again and this time I did not see the indicator after I started the car.

I don't know much about what this indicator actually means. In any case, I thought this Oil is the same as the Oil change we do on a regular 3 month maintenance and if I get Oil change, this will go away.

So I went to the Oil change station and got my oil changed. After this, it was fine and there was no indicator coming on. But this morning when I turned ON the car, I saw the same indicator flashing. I stopped the car again for 2 min and started again and the indicator went away. I drove to a nearby place just fine and during my return when I turned ON the car I had to go through the same sequence again. It flashed and I turned off and turned on to make it go away.

I looked at the manual and it says if you drive the car with this indicator ON or when this indicator is flashing it can significantly damage the engine.

I am trying to understand more about this indicator. Why is this still coming ON even after i got my oil changed? Are these 2 oils different? Is it complaining about a different oil than the oil we change on regular maintenance?

If you could point me in the right direction on how to get this resolved that will be much appreciated.
Follow up questions based on your answers:
(1) Typically how much does oil pump cost?

(2) Typically how much does sending unit cost?

(3) Since today is Sunday and most of the mechanics are closed, is it okay to drive for a day with this condition and then get it checked tomorrow?
This is a Honda Pilot SUV 2004 with 50k miles on it.
 
What you have a Chrysler vechiles or truck? If Yes I have a Dodge Durango in my oil pressure is saying low but it have oil in everything I replaced the oil pump, oil sensor, oil sending until in still the same! Everybody is having this problem with they Chrysler truck , SUV
 
you check the oil level and ifs it clean oil and its ful of oil and if light goes out in a second all is good if you gte a light while stoping possible oil sending unit or oil presure unit called the same thing if light goes out your ok flashing while driving or stays on when you need to worry and stop driving

I don't know what you drive, but generaly there will be two sensors.
One sensor in the oil pan at the bottom of the engine that lets you know if the oil level in the engine is low.

The other sensor (oil pressure) it tells you that the oil pressure in the engine is low when the engine is running.

Now, it could be a bad pressure sending unit (plugged up with crud) or you engine is worn out and won't bulid up enough pressure.

the only time that indicator comes on is when you have low or no oil pressure. sounds like you have an oil pump starting to go out and giving you a warning. that is nice since they usually just go out without warning. you prob saved your engine. i would get someone for sure at a trusted shop to look at it.
 
It's a low oil pressure light, has nothing to do with you needing an oil change, first step is to make sure the oil is at the correct level, then you need to bring it somewhere to have the oil pressure checked. It might be ok and just be the oil pressure sending unit is faulty or leaking causing a faulty reading. unless you are repair savy you could be taking a chance on destroying your engine. bring it to a shop. (one that you trust) normal oil pressure should be around 40 psi at idle,

It does sound like you need a new oil pump though, but you really should get it looked at.
