Low-grade fevers, with heart trouble!

Good "late" evening, everyone...I have a few questions and comments. First of all, I called again today about my Nerve Conduction Study (NCS) results from my physician, but she still doesn't have the report! I have been waking up in the middle of the night for the past 3 nights, with a low-grade of 95.7 degrees and with high blood pressure. I have Supra-Ventricular Tachycardia (SVT), as well as high blood pressure, due to the chronic state of pain I am in, and take medications just for that condition daily. What I am wondering is if this has anything to do with my ddd or something else? I wonder is I could have an infection in my lower back? I DON'T have any stomach issues or flu-like symptoms, such as congestion or coughing. Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas? All are welcome!
 
I once had a temp of 94.7 and I was feeling awful and had to have thyroid meRAB adjusted. It is possible but not likely that hypothyroidism can put in a hypothernic coma. again that is very rare. My temp still is pretty low normal for me is 96.4. Evetytime the show CSI determining time of death by temperature, I think they'll have a hrll of a time figuring out what happened to mer
 
Hmm. I guess we are all wired differently for sure. I have never heard of DDD causing SVT or heart issues in general. This could be your body's response to your pain.. I really don't know. But I would seroiusly doubt there is any connection to the DDD at all.

My normal temp is around 97, 95 is pretty low and I would be concerned about this. Have you notified your doctor? This could even be an issue with a medication that you are taking. I would call your doctor and have someone in your family keeping an eye out on you for anything out of ordinary that you may not be aware of yourself or if you become incapacitated for any reason.

I'm so sorry that you're going through this. What is your normal body temp.? I'm usually 96 - 97. Do you think you have a fever, or that your temp is too low? I always thought of low-grade as 99 - 100.

I sure hope that you feel better soon. You're in my prayers.

Dee, Oh wow.. 96.4 for an average for you.. dang that's low. You may be right about the CSI thing. lol. That was funny.

Im like Emily, I am around low 97s as norm and I am cold all the time. If I get what people term as a low grade temp, Im sick! I dont get a fever unless something is seriously wrong and it doesnt take much of a temperature to make me delerious. My son is the same way, poor kid! lol.

Hopefully we will get an update on why the temp was so low. Everyone have a good weekend.
 
Get your thyroid checked asap low body temperature is a sign of hypothyroidism.
Before the discovered my thyroid problem my temp was real low and I would have heart palpitations some of my hair fell out and my skin looked horrible.If you get this test done, research indicates that doing it in the morning is usually gives the most accurate result.There is a board in this forum about thyroid issues and I think it has a sticky about signs and symptoms. Thank you all for the replies. I guess I thought I was running a low-grade fever because whenever it does reach that low (95.7), I usually feel the same way I do whenever I have a high temperature (like 99 or 100 degrees, whenever I have an infection). Whenever I do have a normal temperature, it usually runs around 98 degrees, such as today. I have had my thyroid checked several times, which is weird because most of the time it shows "normal", but whenever my heart is "acting up", it shows slightly abnormal (for hyperthyroidism). My doctor is still trying to rule out auto-immune diseases. I will be sure to keep everyone updated!
 
Wow, 95 is LOW, so that wouldnt be a fever. Low grade fever is usually a few pts higher than the average of 98.6. I would also be concerned if your temp is that low, unless you made a typo?? I know my temp for several years was always in the low 97's and I was always freezing even in summer. Then this past summer I got low grade fever for over 2 months which ranged from the high 99's to mid 100's...and I suddenly became pretty warm, the bottom of my face was always burning. Not to scare you but if you are in the 95s I think something might be very wrong....
