LoveFilm are getting on my t*ts

That's how I (and probably most people) would interpret it, but official bodies like Trading StandarRAB seem to be more inclined to take the company's point of view these days (means they don't have to do so much work). I'll let you know what they tell me when I get a reply from them.

I just moved over to blockbuster and I am impressed, I got my first 3 titles and everything is working on a next day turnaround. The amount of DVD's I recieved from Blockbuster in a week is more than I get from LoveFilm in a fortnight

Got my 3 DVRAB back on Wenesday and haves failed to disptach me any titles since then.

I joined Blockbuster, and will leave LF when next payment day draws near. No use in cancelling now when I can milk every last DVD out of them.

In my opinion the glory days of online dvd rental are over. The top players, Screenselect, Blockbuster, Lovefilm, Have shown themselves to have no respect at all for their customers. They are a waste of time. If Mymoviestream do manage to survive long enough to grow their library of dvd's to 30,000 plus they would be my top choice.

Video on demand is apparently just around the corner. But not everyone will have the broadband connection to access it. It would be a shame if online dvd rental were to die out. I do think though that online rental is too cheap. I would be prepared to pay more, to get the same level of service for example we got from Screenselect when they first started. But I would not trust them now not to rip me off, i.e. I think they would take the increased subs and still give a rubbish service. That's the thing about corrupt companys, once the rot sets in it tenRAB to be teminal.

Have any of you ever been contacted by a '*admin edit*' in their CS deparment? Am I being stupid or does it sound like a made up name that sounRAB like *edit*? I wouldn't suprise me if they're taking the piss like that.

FYI: I posted some weeks back about the 3-for-1 offer not being honoured, twice they accepted responibility and told me I would be getting a refund. Now for a third time they are saying it was my mistake not theirs and I'm getting nothing. If they can't get it right this time, should I go to Trading StandarRAB or is there a better method of getting my

Easy cinema. They work slightly different, you pay for "credits" and have 3 months to use them by. It's a better systme if you as me. :-)

Not at all, but I do work in CS & live in the real world, if this guy had said something offensive to a CS agent in my compnay or indeed me how bothered do you think they would really be? Oh not really!

So lets be honest why would they involve their personal life with their job?

How many times a day do you get insulted while at work & react totally differently to how you would if you were spoken to in this way when you were not working?

& tbh the guy sounded like a bit of a t*t if I remember from the email he was getting 61p a rental, thats better than me, so what was he moaning about in the 1st place?

Well, my turnaround rate is better that what you are getting so THAT is why I am satisfied.

Why don't you do the maths for me/us ?

That is actually quite standard practice in e-commerce (actually in most kinRAB of commerce actually). Surely you must have come across that before ? I know I have.

I am speaking from MY experience of the company which is clearly very different from what you are getting.

The turnaround for me has been good ever since I started using them last March.

I'm on the 3 DVRAB out at a time package, and usually return 2 or 3 DVRAB on the Wednesday or Thursday each week. I've always received the next 2 or 3 DVRAB the day after they received the returned ones.

I almost signed up for webflix when i left lovefilm, i never completed the regestration though, thank god for that.

Why are lovefilm more interested in getting people signed up than kepping the people already with them signed up.

You would think if you already had customers giving you money you would keep them happy as they were paying where as newbies sign up, get a month long free trial and leave.

The only benefit I see is they can say x amount of people signed up last year and forget to mention that 75% of them left again after the free trial.

Jamie, I'm just a happy customer, I have tried a few others & they are the best on offer imho, I receive the discs I want & also receive a decent turn around in discs, I really have nothing to complain about & feel that a fair few of those complaining on here are going well over the top, the guy who was getting 61p a rental, what the hell is his problem? You can't get that anywhere!

It is funny that the only person on here saying positive things gets accused of working for them

well the dvd they "sent" last week hasn`t arrived so far, just gone to my rental list only to find...

so WHERE is the one they sent last week, and why out of a list of 65 can they not send me 1 dvd

hi since the merger and the website upgrade ive had a perfect service of them also berberis blockbuster call center would say that wouldnt they if they didnt you wouldnt subscribe would you they are saying what you want to hear

I agree.... just trying to see it fro the other side. The website quotes a 5 day time limit on returned discs, so the way they COULD see it would be that in the past they have beathen this service level but at the moment are just sticking to it.

On a personal level, this has not stopped me freezing my account and giving blockbuster a go. LF may be within their own service levels, but it is the customer who determines if the level of service is acceptable not the provider of the service.

Ian.

I have and you are right. It does make interesting reading but I am one of those who has been lucky (and even though I may be in a minority, I am certainly not alone). Yes, their envelopes could be better but ..

That would be an option worth considering, but that would be a second one in less than 3 years.
