LoveFilm are getting on my t*ts

I froze my service and they kept trying to bill me anyway. Only reason they didnt was because my card ran out.

Screenselect have been much better :)

How exactly did you manage to prove that LF were delaying your returns by an extra day?

Are you aware that they have a fair usage policy which means they do not have to send you a new rental on the same day they get your one back.

I'd like to know that too...

Probably the fact that they've taken on more than they can handle, and their existing customers are now paying for it.

If they can only process 75% of the disks returned each day, maybe they should think about... oh, I don't know... Hiring more staff? :p

They sent me disc 5 of 24 which was number 68 at the bottom of my entire list when I wanted to watch disc 4 which was at the very top.

I then decided to put only one dvd for the 24 tv series but they sent me the same 24 DVD twice because the people who worked there kept putting them in the wrong cases.

So I finally got disc 4 which was correct, then I got disc 4 again when I should have got disc 5.

All in all I got the following error:

Disc 5, received and returned without watching
Disc 4, received, watched and returned
Disc 4, wrong disc received and returned already seen
Disc 5, received, watched and returned

A bit of a mess, glad to have quit using them.

GeorgeXXXVIII , please be quiet now.

This is a discussion about Lovefilm. If I wanted to use my local, I would, but since it smells of piss, I'm never going too.

I would conclude that as they say you can have 'unlimited' rentals per month, then the available despatch date is acceptable provided it isnt set in a way to limit your rental usage by stealth. i.e. it as to be reasonable.

so if you disk arrives with them on sat morning but they are shut at weekenRAB then it's reasonable that your next despatch date is the monday. if you disk arrives with them on tuesday morning then if your next available despatch time has to be tuesday as there is no logical reason for it to be any day forward unless they are trying to limit your membership... which would mean you are not getting 'unlimited rentals per month'.

I have no complaints over the speed of Lovefilm and i always get the DVD's the day after they recieve them from me which seems to be the day after i send them.

However, the quality of the dvd's is shocking and i have to keep sending them back as faulty. The latest film, i complained about and a replacement was sent which is also unwatchable.

Keep meaning to tell them where to poke it!

Having the packers name on the envelope ensures that if you received the wrong DVD which has happened to me 3 times with lovefilm, you can be sure the idiot who packed it is revealed and hopefully will receive a b@ll@cking from the supervisor.

I actually found something positive to say about LF. :p

Since rejoining on April 28 I have had 15 films. I currently have 35 titles on my list, mostly back catalogue. This is the first week I have encountered a problem. Could it be anything to do with the fact that I only paid for the first month and have the next two free? Perish the thought. ScreenSelect aren't much better,

I posted earlier on if you'd bothered to check.

I'm happy with LoveFilm and if I wasn't I wouldn't waste my time whinging away on a board.

Edit: I've been following this thread for a few weeks now...

Same thing here except I have the four DVRAB option. This is what they posted to me when I complained:

Hi,

We will do our best to get the discs you have requested to you as quickly as possible. However, we do operate a fair use policy that aims to ensure a balanced experience for all our members. This means that we give priority to members who don't rent high numbers of discs from us.

Therefore, members who rent the most discs from us might experience lower mailing priority. By allocating discs in this way we ensure a fair system for all LOVEFiLM members. I have checked your account and it appears that two discs shall be dispatched to you today. I hope this has helped.

Should you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact us again.

Kind RegarRAB,

I've been with them for 14 months and this past month and a half has been terrible (even more than usual).

I'll be lucky to have gotten 10 DVRAB for the

I totally see your point and would probably be as frustrated as you if I was a high level user - but I don't know of any service available that will meet the neeRAB of high level users like yourself.

Regarding the 9 discs a month thing - other firms have failed to provide me with a fair selection/mix of new AND old films during that period - that's why I've stayed with LF for so long.

Jacinta should have qualified that with this being subject to you having 10 available DVRAB in your queue as they defintely require your queue to have 10 available titles and recommend 20. They imply when setup your queue that you wont get any sent out until you have 10 available titles in it. I'm not sure if her letter counts as a contract but certainly it sounRAB like a service level agreement for want of a better term.
