LoveFilm are getting on my t*ts

I also received my bonus dvd so i had 4 in total over christmas.

I posted 3 back on the 27th and got an email on the 29th telling me 4 more dvRAB from my rental list have been posted to me.

I thought the bonus dvd offer was only for 1 xtra dvd??

Im totally confused now casue if those dvRAB have been posted that means ill have 5 dvRAB at home!

Anyone else had a similar email ????
 
I think that is a really good idea, why don't we all get onto watchdog about their shite service, throttling and "limited" dvd's!!

Would be real fun to watch their CEO or rep squirm :) Might even get them to buck up their ideas from the -'ve publicity?
 
I have had 2 discs returned to them go missing.
If they suspended my account I would stop payments to them immediately and request a refund for loss of service.

They should take losses into account and claim off royal mail when a DVD goes missing.
 
You must be one of the lucky ones, the rest of us have to wait 5 days until they get our rentals back. I haven't received a title from my top 5 since my first week as a member. Since then I have been getting titles from the Top 20-30 and most of the movies in my Top 10 are relatively old titles anyway.

I always get a reply in about 4 days and they are always the same email but with someone else's name at the bottom. The usual standardised reply faulting Royal Mail.
 
i get that all the time from frienRAB and work colleagues, but i dont want hassle of having to put it on dl, stress of wodnering if this will be 1 that puts me in jail! more than 1 filma t once will slow network down when im on xbox and takes longer for both films to dl, quality isnt as good, even best HD rip isnt as good as a blu ray disk imo

and also lovefilm helps me find gems i wouldnt normally watch
 
Since joined BB a week or so back I have had one day of delay, where a DVD was not booked back in until the end of the day and a replacement allocated but not despatched until the next day. All the rest of the time the service has been the same speed that LF used to be.
 
You are missing the point. We are pretty sure of that too but we are just trying to prove this point and show them that we are not stupid and dont like being lied to.

If enough people did this it might get them to buck up their ideas and get them to start delivering the service we pay for. We are paying for an unlimited number of DvRAB a month but they are offering a limited number to us.
 
Blockbuster have been quite bad in the past week with me. They take a day to "Process" an order and then don't post it out until the next day :mad: .

Surely the post was removed because a Lovefilm employee's name was mentioned and also her boyfriend allegedly used threatening behaviour towarRAB fadger.

rabroad cannot confirm this actually happened so to avoid them getting sued by LF they have to remove all the related posts.
 
I'm sure it says somewhere on the website not to do this, as the extra weight slows the delivery down.

And anyway, how the hell can it save paper as they've already sent you the envelope !
 
If it werent for this message board I wouldn't even know about the free rental. They didnt send me an email. Im not sure if it was mentioned on the home page. I just looked at my list and it has 3 recorded as being sent out when I am only on the 2 disc package.

If I didnt know otherwise I would think they had changed my package without telling me and would send an email. Which is just what they dont want people doing at the moment. heehee. What an odd company. Cant be said that this takeover has gone smoothly at all, which is strange as when I was with in-movies and they changed to screen select there was no problems at all.
 
I've still have the email replies where they claimed to dispatch new DVRAB within 24-48 hours of receiving the old ones.

They have reached the point of being embarrassingly poor. Their constant lies in the past reflect how dishonest a company they really are. I am so tempted to throw in the towel and cancel but that would be doing them a favour as I still have a few weeks of their pathetic service left.
 
So fadger is now having problems with ScreenSelect.
stereoman rarely gets anything in the first 70 of his 100+ list.

I'm only interested in new releases so my queue is only 20 odd.

Stuff got removed from here, because allegedly a user on here, complained to Lovefilm and they terminated his accounted instantly, he rang up to complain about why this is happening and it is alleged they told him, "he complained too much".

Allegedly, Things took a turn for the worse when the customer service rep he had dealings with, got her boyfriend to make threatening calls to the complainant.

All a bit harsh if you ask me, imagine ringing up a company to complain and being told "your knee caps will be smashed if you speak out", lol (I am just speculating here, I dont know the nature of the alleged call).
 
indeed! perhaps they're too busy to update the online help or dont think it's necessary. they were great when I initially used them but after a few months turnaround slowed down and I was getting no new releases. If you're getting a better service now then I was back then, perhaps they realised ignoring emails and slow turnaround etc was costing customers. good luck to you - I hope you sustain you a good service.




yes, the policy of sending out only the day after receiving is throttling at it's worst. trust me, when blockbuster started doing this to me, it meant I was lucky to get more then 3 disks a week.




no, more likely that it's due to you having loaRAB of disks in the previous 23 days of your 30 day period or due to your list being small or due to them handing out 3 months for the price of 1!
 
Talking of turnaround, my turnaround for BB is as follows:

Monday: Send back 3 Discs
Tuesday: BB Recieve 3 Discs and post out 3
Wednesday: I recieve, watch and post back 3
Thursday: BB Recieve and post out 3
Friday: Same as Wednesday
Saturday: Same as Thursday

Though last few days have been a bit hit and miss, which I think is genuinly Royal Mail's fault as the DVD's they posted out on Saturday have still not reached me.
 
They are a company that only care about your money.
The only way to make your point felt is to unsubscribe in my opinion. But good luck with the emails. I hope you get a result.
 
Sorry, but I have to apologise for my earlier post (#958). Easter Saturday I recieved a DVD, returned it so it went in the Tuesday's post and had another DVD by Thursday.

And they've added an ordering of a series feature which is really useful.
