LoveFilm are getting on my t*ts

I was suckered back with their free months but the service is dreadful-2 a week no matter what.

never any new releases or from the top of my list.

now noticed that you can't cancel online you have to ring a pricey 0870 number to cancel...........

I am still getting discs turned around the same day and have had all top choice titles as well since the conversion to Lovefilm. So they are treating some customers well.

To me it is conclusively a Lovefilm delay tactic.

When they dispatch to me I have received the last 5 batches of rentals the following day from when it was sent out:

Here have been the return figures from me to them:

Me to Them - 2 days
Me to Them - 3 days
Me to Them - 4 days
Me to Them - 3 days
Me to Them - 5 days

Quite a difference me receiving their rentals has a total of 5 days and my returns have a total of 17 days.

I've always found BB to dispatch me titles the day they receive them back. Hope they do not change their policy as they are the best one at the moment.

I got 1 film with LF this week, wonder if all the complaining in the past has blacklisted me as I am finding their service poorer and poorer each week.

It's obvious that members who have been with them for over a year would be happy! Why would they still be members if they weren't?!

Some people must be getting the service which is advertised, or close to it. But that's not a reason to slag off the ones who aren't happy with it.

I've not really had a problem with Lovefilm since rejoining at the start of the year.

Only once or twice has it taken longer than 1-2 days to get another DVD sent after receiving my last one back.

Speedy turn around mostly and in the past 5 months I've only had one disc that has skipped when playing it.

I think the service is great for music/tv/stand up comedy etc rentals which are harder to get in the larger video chains.

If anyone wants to try them I have 30day free trial vouchers. PM me.

Maybe Lovefilm and its ilk shouldn't make promises they can't keep. If a service is not 'unlimited' then they should say so at the outset and not mislead people. If it's not economical then they shouldn't promise 3 for 1 offers and then give people a rubbish service

Ignoring customers with low queues? What benefit would they get from that?

They probably don't have any of your titles in stock. It's not like they'll have 1000's of copies for each release & will have much fewer copies of the older, less popular releases.

I'm no fan of Lovefilm as they seem incapable of sending tv shows in the right order & the same goes for Blockbuster.

If you're unhappy, move to a different company. I'd reccomend Screenselect. By far the best service I've had out of the 3 I've tried.
An average of 5 discs a week for

Thanks for this, will take your advice and see how it goes. I'd also be interested to know if Lovefilm improves once the three-for-one offer enRAB and you go back on to a standard subscription.

It is obvious that lovefilm can offer a good service.

When I first joined, I received the first 3 movies from top of my list within a day of joining.

The problem lies in their returns department or their system for returns.

Maybe they still enter the numbers of the returns in manually, and as they receive thousanRAB a day they cannot cope with the quantity.

I will be sending them emails every day until I get my rentals as they are about to break their record with me. Looks like they are going to exceed the 5 day return time.

Soon as the next payment day draws near I shall be cancelling and going back to blockbuster. I may return the last lot 5 days late and blame royal mail like what they do. No more second chances for this pathetic company. All us disgruntled customers, lets all never go back. Let them go bankrupt, they do not deserve to have our money.

My intention was to illicit informaton from people who are still Lovefilm members to confirm that the slowdow of film turaround was possibly endng.

Yes, being a Lovefilm yearly member, I do have a vested interest, but only so far as maximising the number of films I get, so if the current trend continues then yip-de-doo I say.

Is there some sort of "loyalty bonus" for year long members, or is the trend across the board with 3 DVD / monthly members ?

So, any current members like to pass comment ?

Blockbuster Online Rock, they work on Saturdays posting out DVD's, so you will end up recieving them on a monday morning. So basically, this is how blockbuster's turn around works if u r on the 3 disk package:

1. Monday Recieve 3 DVD's, post them back same day
2. Tuesday Blockbuster Recieved 3 DVD's back, post out another 3.
3. Wednesday, Recieve another 3, send back same day.
4. Thursday, blockbuster recieve 3, post another 3
5. Friday: Recieve another 3

Blockbuster if u r on the 3 disk package u can get 9 DVD's a week and on the 5 disk pacakage 15 a week.........you are lucky to recieve 50% of that on Love Film.

Yes that's the answer to everything isn't it? Chuck more money at the problem. I'd rather stick to what I am doing and post my problems with them on this forum seeing as they always give me an automated response when I email them.

If you honestly believe their argument that royal mail are responsible for all their delivery delays then you are only kidding yourself.

Strange how my other post does not have a similar delay.

I've received about 3 emails regarding lovefilms 10% - 20%. They can stick that up their as$. Imagine comitting yourself to a 1 years subscription you'll be lucky to get 156 rentals compared to Blockbusters where you could get at least double that.
