LoveFilm are getting on my t*ts

Actually regarding this, I never had a problem myself; I've already done this on many occasions (although I have not returned 3 in an envelop yet). The main problem is that when they use the large plastic cases, it's not easy to combine in one envelop.

And now to the REAL problem:
I was also having 3 unallocated disks for 5 days (and I didn't get the first dvRAB until after a week had passed). I usually get 6 dvRAB/week, so the 1 extra disk (which they have not sent yet) seems like a minor compensation.

At least I'm back on the pay 1 month, get 3 offer, so things aren't so bad for me. However, I will have to observe how they behave over the next couple of months to decide if I want to stay with them.

I posted 3 Rentals back yesterday at 5:00pm and this morning all 3 have been checked back in and a new title allocated, ready for despatch today.........so much better than my experience with LoveFilm

No, my posts were removed for legal reasons. Unfortunately I cannot go into to detail but it involves my account being terminated and receiving threatening phone calls.

I'm into my 4th week of my LoveFilm 'experience' and the disks have slowed noticeably but not alarmingly. I'm on the 4xDVD package...

However, I have read this thread with interest and will be keeping a close eye on things. Realistically, if I can get better value than the local PrimeTime (

Now they've taken over Screenselect - OH YES!!!!

Since the middle of August I have noticed them 'holding up' despatch. I've received 11 discs in the past 30 days. Usually it's around 16-18.

Taken on all of LF's principles now, and their gonna be fully rebranded as that ar$ehole company.

I'd love to complain, but I know I'll just have my account terminated again!!! Looks like I have but days to cancel my account!

Also, did any ex-LF members receive a letter from Simon Morris - Marketing Director of LF inviting them back with a 3 month for 1 month offer?

If they actually did know their customers they would have realised that I didn't leave them, they left me. Tossers. Especially as I requested in writing for them to remove me from their database. Needless to say I have written a lovely letter to Mr Morris explaining that, once again, his company is in breach of The Communications Act.

I hate this company, I really do!!

Talksport have started a deal with Lovefilm where you can get free rental of 4 DVRAB for the first month, that's going to deplete the DVD pool further.

i think theyve also got a new policy of actively ignoring customers with low queues. i reduced mine down to try make sure i got specific dvRAB. with the 9 choices i have in my list i find it hard to believe none are available, 2 new releases, rest are all at least a few years old.

I was sent 1 dvd last tuesday, haven't had anything since and i was on a 3 at a time servide................................... cancelled today! bloody hate em, hope they put my reason for leaving comment on their homepage

They are a better service for me than Lovefilm so I can assure you I am not kidding myself. True they do throttle but not in the same vain as LF and SS.

Received an email from DVD365 they are offerring me 2 rentals, keep 1 at a time for

Same here. I've been with them for 7 months and never had a problem. I generally receive new DVRAB a couple of days after posting my old ones.

On the one occasion where I've had to phone them (to downgrade my account), they've been extremely friendly and helpful.

2 months with Lovefilm and I haven't even received what I would normally get with 1 months worth of Blockbuster.

Expiry date is imminent, the nightmare is almost over. I just can't believe how pathetic they have become in such a short amount of time.

When I leave them I shall be telling them exactly what I thought of their service, how terrible they have been with turnaround and all the lies they have given me in regarRAB to postal delays etc.

Jaime Mate, you might as well get your money's worth and bombard him e-mails, at least he is likely to give u a personal response, failing that, go to the chairman, after all, Mark Livingston is accountable to him.

LF basically telling us that if you keep hold of a DVD for long perioRAB you are a priority customer but if you return them quick you are a liability.

I would have thought me returning them fast would reduce the lead time and increase the circulation for other customers. I'll be sure to keep hold of the latest releases for several weeks in future.

TenerC

That is clever, 50% off, and you get 50% of the films, ie. 3 films a week if you are lucky, on a 3 out at a time package.

It's a win win situation for Lovefilm, they get the money up front (always good for the business cashflow), slow down the service, hoping you will leave within the first month.

On another note I have received no films since last Friday, and have had no films shown as shipped out even though all films were received back Tuesday.

And finally ... is this slowdown happening to everyone, even if they are on the 1, 2,3 or 4 at a time package? (probably obvious question when I see all the complaints on here)

I'm getting about 5 titles a week from BB, not as many of my top listed titles but definately a worthy choice.

I'll probably leave them after a month as I have seen almost every title I want to see.

WeatherfieldWil got any good movie recommendations for me to add to my lists? ;)
