LoveFilm are getting on my t*ts

I have found that at the end of the first month is when they usually become very stale. Best to change every month but that can be time consuming.

Screenselect throttled like mad on the 4th week of my subscription, this in effect cost them a further

I agree as well. It was a wonderful, easy to use, and responsive website. It was one of the main reasons I chose LoveFilm.

Unfortunately, their lying to me about their intentional service slowdowns and blaming the post office (again and again) was inexcusable. Any time a company lies to its customers is a time for them to leave...

I will be trying ScreenSelect as they've offered me a two-months-for-one price. I don't like their website half as much, and they may lie to me as well; we'll see...

I don't think they are back to work yet. There is usually quite a delay over the Christmas period. I sent 4 DVRAB back and not registered yet that they have them on the site.

Yea, you can wee in it and send it to lovefilm !!

Seriosuly though, I'm not sure if it's possible to cut the frank mark off and stick it to your own envelope ....there's only one way to find out I suppose !

I hate lovefilm i would not be tempted back if they give me a free trial for life.
They are a complete joke.

no new releases at all, throttling the service even though i did not mis-use it.

I tried to cancel through their rip off 0870 cancellation number-took 5 mins to get through-more money for lovecon.
got throught to a hard to understand indian man who said the servers are down and to phone back later

a tactic to make more money by phoning them back-it wouldnt surprise me.

horrible horrible company.

blockbuster on the other hand have been great-fast service and you get new releases.

Four times on the trot LoveFilm stated that they'd despatched 3 dvRAB in one go.

Four times, one turned up one day and two the next.

Apparently it was the Post Office's fault.

Quiet how the post office can delay 2 DVRAB while delivering one so consistently is beyond my comprehension.

When I pointed this out LoveFilm said they were having problems with despatch. When I pointed out that I had 45 dvRAB in my queue and were they really saying that they had none available they went suddenly quiet.

Just joined Blockbusters after all this rubbish service from LoveFilm. Enough is enough!

For anybody also interested in doing the same I have found a code to increase your 3 DVD trial period to 30 days:

Just enter this on the first page and sorted. ;)

I feel I get good value for money. I feel the turn around rate suits me. It works out a lot cheaper than me renting from the shop. Any problems I have had have been dealt with to my satisfaction. For may tastes, the choice of material is extensive and I usually (although not always) get one of my top 10 or top 15 choices. They're not perfect, I realise that, but who is?

I'm not moaning, I'm disagreeing with you. There is a difference.

See above.

In spite of the personal efforts of Mark Livingstone (MD of LoveFilm), and an "I'm sorry, take an upgrade for a month" (which I appreciate), the service is still poor.

It seems that there are several ways to be screwed:

1. Your discs can arrive late, with artificial delays imposed at the LoveFilm shipping department. This MUST be an artificial delay, because Mark L. fixed it and for the last two weeks I've been getting discs VERY quickly indeed.

2. You can receive titles which are way outside your top ten list. Although my titles have been coming very quickly now, they are nowhere near my top ten requests. Sure, if 5 of my top ten are new, in-demand titles, I would expect some delay, but not 2-3 weeks! Don't put any more than the MINIMUM required on your request queue... If you have more (I had 68 titles on my list), you'll get a lot which are nowhere near your top ten.

BTW- When I first complained about receiving non-top-ten discs, I got a reply which said they would fix it so that I got more of my preferred discs. It DIDN"T HAPPEN, but note: They said (in writing) that they could (!) fix it !!!!

Mark L. actually sent me an email saying that if I reduced my (long) request list down to ten titles, that that would not change the number of top-ten titles I received! I guess he means: You'll receive NO titles instead!

And his secretary was very unapologetic and just wanted to argue with me.

I guess: Buy up your competitors, raise the prices, and screw the customers!

Thanks to the merger of Lovefilm & Screenselect I have two accounts now - both of which will be cancelled before next payment date. However, last week I received a grand total of 1 disc out of a possible 6 with "Awaiting Allocation" being the default for my account(s). On saturday I was told that I, like everybody else, would receive one free rental for the glitches that happened!!

Can there be a company less in touch with reality than this one?

We are all paying customers of Love Film, we should not have to put up with a second rate service, I suggest we all e-mail them our concerns so they are aware of the problem and it can be addressed.

having had a top class service from Love Film up until a month or so back , they are now taking longer to send films out. Sent one back last monday and they stated on website received on tusday , yet they did not send another film out until friday which is totally unnaceptable. I will probably cancel soon and go back to Cinema Paradiso.

I'm having a very different experience with Blockbuster- for example, I posted three discs back yesterday at about 3pm at the local post box. Two of those have already been checked in this morning and one is currently being processed to be sent. If they are true to previous experience then there may be more movement throughout the day and I should receive whatever they send tomorrow.
