LoveFilm are getting on my t*ts

Not read this thread in full, but maybe I should mention that they are currently doing a big affiliate campaign paying websites

its a waste of time now,
2 or 3 years ago they used to send out
same day as they got your old discs back
they dont do that now... they send when they are good and ready.

add to that... there is no post collection on
a sunday
and on a saturday ( at least in my area )
the last collection on saturday is 10.45 am

when 3 or so years ago the last coll on saturday was 5 pm and there was a
collection on sunday...

so you are stuffed and might just get
one delivery a week
Ive given up on them

Add to all this one day postal strikes
and its game over
I think in the end Love film will go over to
a download service over the net.
and sell off its physical discs by mail order.

Sure I gather that, seems a lot were lured back that way.

It is strange though how the best rental company all of a sudden became the worst and cut their own throats. Are they mad?

One of the few things Lovefilm have got going for them is their website is very well designed.

Blockbusters' is terrible, sometimes it's impossible to get back to your list without retyping the home page.
And I don't like the fact that you can't view your whole list on one page or see what you've rented before, and their first to last service doesn't work. But on the whole a much better service than LF.

Last day before the Easter hols & still no DVD's. Paid a fortnights worth of subscription fees for nowt. The word annoyed doesn't quite cut it, but it'll have to do. Froze my account as I'm not paying good dosh whilst the merger sorts itself out.

Looks like Video Island swallowed Lovefilm, rather than the other way around as the CEO of the merged company is the current CEO of Video Island. Let's hope he can bring Screen Selects customer service with him.

You're right, Ultraviolet - has happned to me today...
I sent two discs back last week, both have been logged as recieved by them, but they've only sent one out to me today...

BlockBuster here I come !

Tesco is run by ScreenSelect (now owned by Video Island) and therefore work under the same system.

They are useless as they never ever send items out on the priority list and also send titles out from the bottom, they wait up to 3 days to send out new titles.

I also have seen a dramic drop in service level since Christmas. I will from now on send a email to lovefilm every day they are late with my discs.

Can those doing the recorded delivery test let us all know how it went. But I think this may be a dead end, LF will probably just blame RM for delivering RD post faster.

Maybe we should have a poll..........

I have no problem with "Phat N" personally. for all I know he's just adorable. And he/she put the right disc in. It'd just be more professional if they put their actual name or an employee number on instead.

I've been a member of lovefilm.com for about a year. I used to think it was a great service. I dont Know what has gone wrong??? It seems to have gone very pear shaped in the last few weeks. For example I used to get between 3- 5 rentals on average a week. If I put say 3 titles bk in the post box on a sunday afternoon, i would normaly get at least one new title back on a tuesday and another 2 Wed, Etc. In the last 2 weeks I have had only 2 titles. I'm giving them a couple of weeks to improve,(mainly because theire billing point for direct debit tenRAB to be 5th/6th of each month) if they dont get their buts in2 gear i will cancel.
VP

Yes I agree with you it probably is the above, so many other companies are now powered by LoveFilm too. I bet they simply just cannot cope with the load, I've not once heard them use their warehouse move to a larger one last weekend as an excuse though which seems strange. Most companies would have exploited that as an excuse/reason for such an obvious fall in service standarRAB.

I've been using Screenselect again and even they have seemed to have improved compared to what their service was like 12 months ago and the comms have been excellent too, just hoping that keeps up. Getting top titles too which is something LF were very poor at doing.

Actually, if you read my post again, you'll see that I actually state that it's fair enough. Perhaps though orm, if LoveFilm delivered the service they're providing we'd have nothing to complain about in the first place. Or more realistically, advertised the ACTUAL service, with it's constraints.

If they want to put a surcharge for high volume users I'd listen. I only want what I paid for. An unlimited service.

I put it to you, that if you paid for "unlimited" beer you'd be put out if the CEO said, we think 17 cans a month is good value.
