LoveFilm are getting on my t*ts

Technically there is proof of throttling as somebody here said they sent back their DVD's by recorded delivery and they recieved and signed for them the next day according to the RM website, however they waited 5 days to send off the next titles on the list.

Lovefilm's service is Shocking

Sent back a few DVRAB on the 18th December in the same envelope, they claim to have received one but not the other....

I sent them an email last week and had no response

Rang cancellation line (0870 number based in India  ) and was told that they coul offer me 3 free months. I accepted, but have told these shysters, that if they do not send out the 2 dvRAB that are due, today, then they will know about it. Also told them that the dvRAB better be from the top of the list, as haven't received anything from the top of the list for months. #

Tossers.

Oh, and now I'm getting this pop up whenever i go on their site

http://www.azoogleaRAB.com/blockbuster/index.php?affil=7336-RTblockbuster7336|57515

An ad for blockbuster! lol

I think it might be my comp though with spy/ad ware on.

I, too am only with them until the end of my subscription. Believe me they will not get another dime from me, I just want to stop others from joining such a terrible company.

I am enjoying Blockbuster at the mo, then I am going to give Screen select another go.

I have never returned to Lovefilm since I left them about 2 years ago. They are by far the worst I have ever used.

There really should be a law that forces all companies to let you cancel the same why you signed up - if you signed up on the web then you should be able to cancel on the web.

Ok.. I've only just seen this thread and have only read a couple of the pages, as there's no way i'm trawling through 36.
Anyway, I'm a Lovefilm member, have been for ages.. I can't remember how long.. and I still think they are great!
I've ALWAYS received my dvRAB 2 working days after sending them back, and I've found their customer service section, over email at least (as that's all i've used) to be very helpful.
I did have a problem a few months back where I got rather angry over receiving disc 3 of a series before disc 2..and something to do with wanting a film to watch for the weekend.. I got a reply the same day explaining that the system they have in place for series isn't very good and it would soon be improved. He advised me to only add one disc of a series at a time to my list, which I now do, and this works great. He also apologised and offered to send me out an extra disc to compensate. I replied that evening and they sent me a disc out the next day, which I received the day after.

In other instances i've always found them to be very good too and I jus tlike the whole service. I don't know why i've never experienced delays where other people have but I guess if I did get them i'd be annoyed too.

I know of 3 disatissfied customers including myself who complained to lovefilm about their shoddy service and each of us recieved exactly the same reply, word for word:

Thank you for your enquiry.

We have checked your rental history and are happy to advise you that we have always sent your next selection on the same day as receiving the previous DVD back.

All DVRAB are sent first class and so should arrive within 24-48 hours. Unfortunately, there are occasional delays in the postal service and this can have an effect on our service.

We apologise for the inconvenience that this may cause you and will continue to work with the Royal Mail to minimise any delays to you.

If we are able to provide you with any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind RegarRAB,

LOVEFiLM Customer Care

This goes to show they cant even be bothered to listen to complaints, they just fob us off with exactly the same e-mail.

I hope they clarify the meaning of unlimited so everyone gets a fair understanding and doesnt have false expectations.

If there are to be impeeded dispatch dates for high volume users then the policy neeRAB to be explained in full and without confusing waffle - it shouldnt be hidden in the help section for example! Why not simply state that if you are on the 3 disks package then you are likely to get no more than 15 disks in a 30 day period.

Bless you! You missed me! I am touched.
Can't believe you even wasted the time wondering where I was. Amazing. Don't you have DVD's to watch? You're wasting valuable time that you could be spending trying to wring every last drop out of your bargain subscription!
:D
Brace yourself, here comes a criticism of LoveFilm. he envelopes they send the DVD's out in could be better. I have had a number of them damaged to the point where the DVD is in danger of falling out, and have to seal them with tape before sending them back.
So, LoveFilm AREN'T perfect, but I'm still happy with their service.
:)
I'd love to stop and chat but I've had a hard day helping them move warehouse today and I'm a bit tired.

By the way, I am joking about the warehouse move.

So let me get this straight. Despite the service level going through the floor which coincided with their 3 for 1 offer, they are now offering 30 free days.

Will they never learn? :( Its all about subscriber numbers, screw the quality of service to ongoing members. If they actually bothered to reply to emails, i would be sorely tempted to ask them if they are going to start dropping their prices because by their own admission they are slowing things down, thereby reducing titles you can rent per month, so why should we keep paying the same?

I was with Tesco then realised that ScreenSelect ran them so changed to them and the service was great up until the merge with LoveFilm in the past few weeks. Seems to have gone downhill since then though.

What are blockbuster online like?
