Just think if lots of members froze their LoveFilm a/c's for 90 day's (you can re-activate your a/c at any time btw) how much that would screw them up financially and maybe make them think twice about screwing with their loyal members?

I've just done it to my a/c, if things improve I go back, if they stay the same I cancel. Either way it's a win/win situation for you the customer.

A months free trial with Blockbuster for me and I only joined @ 2:30 PM yesterday and guess what? 3 DVD's through my letterbox @ 07:30 this morning!!! :D Well done so far Blockbuster, I hope this is a sign of their service to come.

Screenselect's throttling kicks in after 3 weeks and it is almost as bad as lovefilm's which is why I left them.

The first week screen select gave me my top 3 choices twice, the first choice titles were coming in thick and fast in the second week too but by week three the DVRAB became strictly bottom choices and by week four turnaround was so poor I cancelled.

To think if they kept up the good work for a few weeks extra they would have got another

Can't go wrong with Blockbuster they have the best turnaround.

My only gripe with them is that some of the discs are in an absolutely disgusting state. Also near the end of my subscription they started sending me titles from the very bottom of my list. Maybe to get me to resubscribe.

Agreed, none of the FTS on my list are new films and I can't imagine that any of them are being rented.

I've sent them back two FTs that they kindly sent to me on Saturday (I sent them back in one envelope on Sunday). Let's see what happens today when they get them back on Monday morning.

....I have three FTs left but ain't gonna be using them.

I'll be very upset if they get one disc and not the other AGAIN.

Well I get at least four a week and usually always from the high choices on my list, and at the rate I watch them, I'm more than happy with that.

I was with LoveFilm, for about 2 months, up until 9th June.
I decided to cancel as it was taking 4 or 5 days for them to send more DVD's.
I cancelled my subscription... with my 2 DVRAB already being returned and confirmed on their website... However, after reading one of the other threaRAB, I have sent them an email asking for confirmation that they have received all the DVD's that i sent back... just so they cant try and charge me

The thought had crossed my mind that Weatherfield set up this email account and it doesn't actually belong to the LF CEO at all.

I cancelled my Lovefilm subscription because I was getting fed up with the 5 day's it takes them to recieve DVD.

That was an interesting theory about the "Throttling", it makes good economic sense why they want to penalise heavy DVD renters as if you are a heavy renter then you are paying on average something like 80p a DVD and this is hurting the company financially as the heavy users are becoming expensive to maintain and hence it's an easy way to get rid of them.

Though, having said that, the company holRAB itself out as providing an unlimited DVD rental service and if it is applying this "throttling" notion then surely this would be false advertising as they are not providing an unlimited service if they are capping the heavy users ?.

I have been experiencing the same problems with LoveFilm's slow turnaround and put it down to my high usage. However last week I kept 2 DVRAB for 2 weeks, sent them back and STILL didn't get my next choices sent out for another 2 days which calls into question their low usage priority policy.

Seems like they're just slow however many films you get through!

here's another LOVEFiLM classic:

Selected all the disc's from Series 3 of 24... guess which one they send me first???

Disc 3 of the set...

Do they expect me to hold onto that until they hopefully manage to send me the 2 previous discs in the series, knowing my luck they'll send me the last disc next....

Let alone the fact that they were all in the 20's of my selection....

Why can't they have a system like screenselect that senRAB them out in order?!?

Cretins!!!

Your post was edited as you named a LoveFilm CS Rep, rabroad has to remove the name as if we keep naming customer service rep's and slagging them off, rabroad could get done for defamation as the person named is not in a position to defend themselves.

lovefilm really are messed up right now, i have batman begins on my actual queue, not on the pre-order section. Its worrying that they have gotten that wrong.

im on the 3 at a time package as well and looking around for another provider, 2 dvd's a week is pathetic, if I wanted that I would be with amazon for five quid cheaper.
