LoveFilm are getting on my t*ts

months! I hope this doesnt sound patronising but if the service hasn't been good enough for you for more than a month, why didnt you just jack it in and cancel? I assume you're on a 3 months for the price of 1 deal as that can be the only reason to hang on?

Yep, he said as I was renting a lot of DVD's per month, I was getting good value for money, something which would have cost a lot more elsewhere and if I wasnt happy, then I was more than welcome to cancel my account and go elsewhere.

Everyone who e-mailed him got pretty much the same answer, Jamie you should e-mail him.

Same here 3 DVRAB returned since Tuesday and still no new movies dispatched.

Their new stalling tactic gives us the same result as the not received tactic. The only difference being we do not have to lodge them as missing anymore.

More work saved for them as they do not have to reply to our concerns regarding missing dvRAB but it opens a whole new problem.

I can sympathise as my Dad owned a video shop til he was pushed out by Blockbusters and Choices - the other independent traders in the town went the same way too.
I'm now using screen select for a free trial - I'll think I just use them and lovefilm as long as it suits me, but frankly you only get what you pay for! :)

I fell for the 'come back to LoveFilm and get 3 months for the price of 1' bull, In the last 3 weeks I have had 6 films sent to me and only received 2!! I am paying 15 quid for a very poor service and can't wait to get back to my local Blockbuster who often send me vouchers for 'rent a chart title and get a non chart rental free'

What do you expect, anyone using these on line RENTAL johnies must be downright dumb...why not stay loyal to your local DVD rental store..after all if you want to watch a film you cant beat going to a shop & picking a movie & 30 mins later be home watching it.Instead of waiting 3 days!!

I am just about to sit down and watch a DVD from Blockbuster that was a replacement for one that i sent back to them on Wednesday. Meantime the two i sent back to Lovefilm on the same day are still not showing as even back with them. So if my recent pattern continues, come next Tuesday i will get my next Lovefilm dispatch and the next again dispatch from Blockbuster meaning i will have been through 4 extra films with BB in the time its taken LF to get another out.

I think i know where my future subscription lies!

There have been a number of posters who have lodged complaints with any number of bodies, including watchdog. No-one has reported progress yet.

The long and the short of it is, on the web site they make no claims about how long it takes them to send out DVD's. The service may be crappy but they are not in brach of contract. because only a dingo would think the service is actually "unlimited" they can use that terminology on the site with impunity.

Follow my advice, move on and forget LF, life just too short to get angry about this stuff. Unless you signed up for a year

I've had the same problem as several of you where I've sent two discs back in one envelope and surprise, surprise only one is showing as returned. Useless!!

hi, i'm one of the people who rejoined on the 3 for 1 month deal.
i've had the same problems, 5+ days for them to register titles as having been returned. i've noticed recently that they've changed the 'rented' page by removing the dates from the status of returned titles - so we can't keep an easy track of how long its taking them between mailouts?? what other reason can there be?

also : channel 5 have just started a new dvd service powered by ..... lovefilm. http://www.fivemovieclub.tv

That's what happened to me with Lovefilm. Bank holiday weekenRAB were the best - I'd be lucky to get 2 films that week.
Tesco have proved faster. I average 5-6 a week now.

After my recent unpleasent experience with LoveFilm, I searched the internet for other people who might have had the asme sort of problem and was amazed at the amount of stories about LoveFilm I found.

So I decieded to setup a little forum for people to discuss their experiences with LoveFilm

I got a reply:

Thank you for your email and I am sorry you are not enjoying our service.

As requested, I have looked into your account in detail and have found, since you joined us on 22nd March, you have had 23 DVRAB. As I'm sure you are aware it would have cost significantly more for you to have rented these titles through alternative channels other than LOVEFiLM.

We aim to offer the best level of service in the market place and sincerely feel we have continued to do this in.

Kind regarRAB

I'd accept that, if I weren't paying for an Unlimited service. Basically what it should be advertised as is : Unlimited DVD rental service - when we feel like it.
