That sums them up perfectly!

I agree, you either get this movie, or you don't. It's just one of those movies. I for one, loved it! And of course, I prefer the 'growing old together' happy ending to the other one.

Thx for confirmation :)

I was an okay movie. I didn't like the end. I went to see it with a bunch of friends at the movies but we didn't really enjoyed it as much as we thought we would. Especially the end... I still don't know why the tree was green?

This movie is quriky and very dark despite all the colors and effects, so I can see why it's difficult to like. However, it's still so fascinating... How crazy they both are. But how in love.... :sigh: The world doesn't make sense if they're not together.

That scene when they meet after 10 years and they're frantic and laughing unable to do anything but glow. Oh man, I remember I had chills.

I really couldn't make up my mind about this movie yet. It's just so crazy. It's such a typical French movie. I don't know what it is about French movies, but they make me sit there with wide open eyes, wondering if they are serious with this.
In the end I guess it's an unconditional love in this film, but still I don't know if I like it or not. But well, it makes me think a lot. ^^

i saw this movie 4 years ago and it still is one of my fav movies! Ever since i saw it im a fan of both Marion and Guillame! I think without such a good casting the film would not be that good! Plus French is such a lovely and sexy language!

Marion and Guillame have amazing chemistry and have been friends for many years now but it is only recently that they got together. Here's a recent cute pic of them:

also here is the link from a Marion Cotillard and Guillaume Canet Interview i uploaded from Love me if you dare they did for a dvd version where they both speak english and talk about the dares that did to each other while filming...it is very funny and interesting!!!!

enjoy!!!

:D

Spoilsport. :P

I'm not saying you're wrong. In fact, you're most likely right.

But I choose to believe they live and grow old together. Otherwise, it's just too macabre. I mean, it's one thing to want to die together, it's another thing to go about it the way they did. Besides, what kind of silly construction worker doesn't look first???

I've been looking for it for a long time, and I finally found it! I'm so happy:D
and because of all the clips I saw, I fell in love with the couple already, so I added them to my ship list:)

Yes! And unfortunately even though its got an interesting story, good dynamic between the excellent actors, and beautiful coloring, no one I know seems to enjoy this movie as much as I do. I let my friends watch it and they sort of disliked it.

I think a lot of that had to do with the ending though, and when they kept asking me questions about why they would try to die in cement and which was the real ending, I couldn't give them a definite answer, which a lot of people don't like- this isn't a movie for someone looking for a clear cut happy ending.

But they are drastic. Ever since they started something more than friendship, they've been that way together. They went to great lengths to prove a point, or to assume a "dare"... so yeah, that's why I still think they could have ended the running and all the dares by just dying together. Because would they have stopped? Would they have been able to grow-up and just be together without constantly challenging themselves like that? I'm not so sure.

It is :P

Oh, I know right. All the technical stuff was just brilliant. I loved the editing; all the vibrant colors were just so gorgeous. It helped me escape into their world even more.

I love how they're a real-life couple now, I guess they just couldn't deny it any longer. ;)

It's still French, isn't it? :P

I know they'd be crazy enough to at least think of doing something like that. But I can't believe they'd actually go through with it. Mind you, the opening of the movie says they have. But then I decided that was just to throw us off.

That's right, I decide what happens. :D

Otherwise, it's a bit too silly for me, you know? They can have their future. No need to get drastic.

Oh, that scene. :sigh:

I must say that when I found today that these two are together in real life, it was AWESOME! Oh man, that chemistry wasn't just in character.

And then you have Shannon, who makes a very compelling argument that it doesn't matter which way it ends. Either way, they chose each other and that's all that matters.

And that's true.

But I still want them to have lived. That's my need, not just for a happy ending, but for a meaningful one. And I guess the fact that they finally chose one another isn't enough for me. Which is on me, but there you have it. :D
