Aw i love this film sooooo much. The perfect xmas rom com. We watched it last frday with a bottle of wine and a box of tissues. That bit where Emma Thompson's character has that mini breakdown after he gives her the Joni Mitchell cd makes me cry every time.

Can Richard Curtis ever make a movie that actually captures REAL British people and not this godawful chocolate box version of London? I don't even remember him straying outside of North/West London... They seem to have comfortable middle-class lives and white/multi-racial relationships.

I'd like to see him write/direct a romantic comedy/drama with Black couples/Asian couples alongside white people.
