Please help me guys.
My Car is a V reg Toyota Avensis. 2.0l
Here is my story. I was approaching a junction yesterday. I started to slow down and there was an almighty snapping sound from the rear of my car. It shook like some one had gone right in the back of me. I pulled in and had a look around it as it honestly sounded like something had hit it with some real force.
I wanted to leave it where it was but had to get home. Lived literally five minutes from where it happened. Thought i would risk it but go slowly. Got back in and it sounded ok....... until i got to about 15 - 20 mph. Then there was a bad clunking sound. I started to slow down. Every time we heard it we could feel the car shudder. Then my rear wheel on left hand side locked up fully. It now wont move forward or backwards. The engine is trying to move it but the wheel is having none of it.
If i am being honest i know it seems strange, but it actually sounded like it was gonna be massively expensive and contemplating scrapping it. My kids safety is paramount to me. Only passed M.O.T 3 months ago
