I only had the opportunity to go to junior college. Ive always wondered how a 'real' college works. Please answer my questions.
Are all classes in an 'arena' type setting?
Are classes conducted like high school?
Are the teachers personal or impersonal?
My niece had to live on campus her first semester even though she lived in the area. Is this the norm?
Do you have to live in a dorm?
How do dorms work?
What kinds of rules are in dorms and how are they enforced?
Frat/So Houses........
Who can live in a Frat/So house?
Can freshmen live in those houses?
What amenities are in those houses?
What kinds of rules?
Who enforces them?
How does a student survive taking a full schedule and work?
Is it scary for an 18-19 year old to be living away from home with no restrictions and also having to sort of make it on their own?
Lots of questions, I know. Ive always been curious.
