Lots of Anxiety Attacks?

Hello I was wondering if anyone shares similar symptoms? I currently made a doctors appointment for next month because I believe my anxiety has gotten a lot worse. I have several panic attacks a day I always think something is wrong such as I have allergies and I will panic and make up symptoms such as my throat closing up. I often feel light headed through out the day or short of breath and htis is when I don't really feel in a panic. I don't think its medical cause I am healthy and go to the doctor regularly. I dont know if anxiety can make you actually feel light headed and short of breath and tired to. I always am scared as soon as I feel weird like my head will just feel weird (hard to explain). I don't really understand a lot about it, so I guess it is good that I am seeing my doctor. I was just wondering if anyone had any comments or insight ?

Thanks

Anxiety attacks take a lot out of your body. Lots of adrenalin, breathing, stress. Wipes all of us out.

Once you figure out the balance of theraputic tools, medication, etc. to manage them your life will get heaps better.

Best wishes!

My therapist described the light headed thing as your body knows you have to do X but your mind fights it and throws its own little revolt by doing an out of body experience. Once I understood that, I totally understood what was going on.

And yes, I sought out doctor and therapist when I realized my anxiety was out of control (as in constant). A short six months later I am much better.

Get help. Life can get sooooo very much better.

Best wishes!

Hi I suffered in my teens from terrible panic attacks etc.I went to therapists, regular doctors, and nothing helped till i saw an md who was a leader in alternative medicine. After waiting 6 months to see him,he took a simple blood sugar test, and found that i had severe hypoclecimeia,.meaning that even if i ate a potatoe chip, which turns into sugar,i had immediate palpitations.I have been taking a bcomplex multi vitamin, meaning one that haas at least 50 mg of each b vitamin, and have been without attacks for over 20 years. Many in the orthodox medical establishment dismiss hypoglecymia, although its proven. You should also have an alternative allergy test.
good luck

Thank you for your reply . It makes me feel better that my light headness is nothing medically serious. I am definetly getting some help though.

Is that the same as a standard allergy test? Cause I already have had one not too long ago. I think I will do a medical work up, simply cause it eases my mind for a bit. I am hoping to try therapy before medication.

There is a thing called chest breathing with is common for people suffering from anxiety and panic. It means that you are using the muscles of your chest rather than your diaphragm to do your breathing. when this becomes habit, it can cause light-headedness and a feeling of being short of breath and also fatigue. There are exercise you can do to "re-train" your breathing and this is supposed to help. I am trying to do that now. I too have times when I will have several panic attacks a day and just feel lousy. panic and anxiety take a toll on your physically. I will go through perioRAB where I have little or no panic and then I will ramp up to a high level of anxiety - due to external triggers, stress, or sometimes for no apparant reason - and have increased symptoms.

Good luck to you!

I lived most of my life in Toronto, and it was there where my anxiety and fatigue took place. No it is not the standard test.It was only amazingly gifted md,regular doctors who aree experts in alternative medicine that saved me.A good naturapath would also be an option,as for some of the mRAB you may have to wait a while for an appt.good luck:)

Thank you very much fro your advice. I hope your anxiety gets better too! I do often feel physically tired after a panic attacks its so starnge
