Hi Everyone I'm newish to this Forum,

Sorry to rehash an old topic/discusion, but having watched all the EE again recently I've been able to see the "good and problem" parts in the films.... now that all the hype etc has died down...

One of the main problems with ROFK is not the "tedious" and numerous ending as everyone likes to comment on

The problem with it is the ending is "rushed" if anything in my opinion... After the epic journey they all went through to cast the ring into Mount Doom, plus Aragorn n Co's quest... the ending just doesn't live up to the the "whole" film (the Fellowship, TT inc)

It just seems to end suddenly with no real talking from the characters... instead of laughing when Frodo wakes up in Minas Tirith , they should have at least had a litle talk.. like Gandalf telling Frodo how he managed to survive the Balrog etc.. coz if I were Frodo having woken up in a white, soft bed and Gandalf in "white" is looking down at me, I'd think I were dead!!! lol
and then we cut to Aragorn being crowned with an even longer beard.... I guess that might have been to show that time had passed since the battle

And just to end the film properly Pete should have kept in Galadriel narrating the end.. telling us what happened to the other characters in the years that pass... after all she started the film so really she should end it....

Who knows maybe Pete is saving it for the 50th Anniversary edition as he hints at in the commentaries  lol

Other than that I loved the films.. :)

Anyway, thats some of my thoughts on this EE, I've got more, but I'll save them for another time.. :)
