LOTR > HP
HP is made for kids, of course more will like it
Edit: I'm not saying HP is bad. But to say it's better than LOTR is just... c'mon.
And as for the movies, LOTR beats HP hands down on that too. Because of the budget and more seriousness of the acting. The actors playing the main 3 characters in HP need more experience in acting... especially the redhead
