i've read lord of the ring cover to cover

and i have to say harry potter flows much better.. it doesn't feel like a chore to read when you're getting through 6 pages of Tolkien describing a leaf falling down from a tree

I think the hobbit is better than LOTR as well.. much more focused when you look at the big picture..

I've yet to finish Return of the King and I've been loving the world since sixth grade. I even bought Children of Hurin when it came out.
 
no but seriously, lotr is only (slightly) good because there was so much money put into it. i get bored watching any of them anyways though. of course im talking about the movies, ive never read the books, so i cant really say anything about those.
