The wife noticed that ABC-W, NBC-W, etc (all the "timeshift chanels" are gone. Any info out there on this??

they are still there for me. do you pay 1$ extra for the west feed? if not, that is why you don't have it.

Hit the guide button until it shows all channels (including the ones you dont have, they will be red)
Are they in that guide? Or gone completely?

Bell "accidentally" included the west SD feeds to customers who added the HD package to their account. Then, in a fit of greediness, they realized that those customers should be paying $1/month for this feature (just like all the non-HD subscribers) so they removed them from the programming package of those affected.

Unless of course you agreed to the $1/month fee. In which case you should still have them...

If this was the case, then those that received the free programming should be happy
I would be upset if they let others get free programming, while I have to pay for it, even if it was a mistake
Its not like Bell was asking for payment for the channels for the months they had it, so no harm in stopping the free west coast feeds, IMO...

Subscribers affected were paying... $10/month for the HD package, which included the west HD feeds.

Perhaps J in KW should provide sources for his accusations.......not likely that Evu does much accidently.

If it was ExpressVu's mistake, then they should credit the paying customers for their mistake
I thought that those affected were not paying for the channels, and received them in error, and when the mistake was realized, the channels were removed
My bad

I'll have to take a look at "All Chanels" tonite when I get home. I do have the HD package and a whole lot of other stuff!!!:D. I'm pretty sure I have the western feeds too, but I will check.

If you have the HD package you should get the west feeds in HD

In SD you will only get the east feeds, unless you pay the extra $1/month.

ABC West (Seattle):288
NBC West (Seattle):287
CBS West (Seattle):289
FOX West (Seattle):290
PBS West (Seattle):291

NBC West HD (Seattle):820
ABC West HD (Seattle):821
CBS West HD (Seattle):822
FOX West HD (Seattle):823
PBS West HD (Seattle):824

Had a look at the Guide last night (All Chanels selection). The SD chanels for the Western feeds, 287-291 are not there. No big deal to me since I get them in HD lite:rolleyes: Probably a drag for those who don't have the HD package, though.

As mentionned before they can get it by adding the time shifting option at !$/month

We had the same problem, lost the regular west coast feeds a few weeks ago. After troubleshooting for an hour for two separate calls, they finally figured out it was a billing issue.

I am on the HD package, and have always received the regular West coast feeds as part of this package that includes the HD west coast feeds.

They said it was a "glitch", and that now the channels have been taken away and you have to pay $1 for them.

I yelled at them about the $3 Digital Service Charge and now the 1$ increase for this which was originally part of the HD package. So I am out another $4 a month for nothing, no new services, no nothing. *******s..

West feed in HD (820-824) have always been part of the HD package

To get the SD West feed (288-291) you always had to pay 1$ extra, the feature is called US Network extra feed. It has always been the case... SD West feed were never included has part of the HD package

Bell had a technical glitch, like the Agent seem to have explained you, an some clients that had the HD channels, received, whithout paying the 1$ extra the SD West feed (288-291). The "glitch" as been rectfied, and clients not suscribing to the US Networks extra feed no longer receives the SD West feed (288-291), but are still receiving the HD West feed (820-824).

My taught:If you get the HD West feed, why to pay1$ extra to get the SD one?

Unfortunately, you'll have to ask my wife that question :) She has a crazy recording schedule, and sometimes she needs the regular west coast feeds to record something without using up the recording space an HD west coast feed would take.

For every timer I set, I decide whether the show will be worth HD disk space. If the show isn't compelling in HD (e.g. Air Farce Live), or I know it's in SD, I want to record it from the SD channel.
