Long story short. Had the same job for 6 years. At the end of last year there were no signs of a recession at our job. We had a planned pregnancy. Got a new car, things were going great!
Out of the blue, our factory went under, now we have a 1 year old, and a large car payment.
I am almost running out of unemployment. My only choice is to start paying the bills that we need to survive (mortgage, electric, fuel, groceries, etc). We have 2 cars, one is paid off. The new one has a large balance (much larger than it is worth). If I stop paying and they reposses it, what will happen with the balance? There is no way I can pay the balance, and I do not have a paycheck. I live in PA. Can they go after anything else? If they do, I will have to stop paying the mortgage, so who wins? Advice?
