Lost Boys 2 info

Hey all. Just thought i'd post this for those who are interested.
Filming starts a week from tomorrow and Corey haim and Corey Feldman are both back.

What does everyone think? Personally i think they should have just left it. This is a classic of the 80s and too much time has passed and there's no real need for a sequel. I'm guessing this'll go straight to DVD

well we do seem to be drowning in sequals at the moment it's just a shame that no one in hollywood has realised how bad they are.

With the vampires dead it's hard to have a sequal too.. i'll prob watch it on TV when it gets there but don't think i'll take much notice otherwise

wish they had left the orig alone as that was perfect

I agree it should be left alone.

In my opinion this certainly seems to be a rushed production especially when Corey Haim stated on Radio 1 last year that there were no plans for a sequel and quoshed rumours of the proposed Lost Girls film.

I think Warner Bros producing these straight to video productions are a bad idea. :(

Who would have thought?
Well, it would be good to see these two on screen together again. But will the chemistry still be there?
Will they look really old and haggered?
And Keifer Sutherland died in the first one, so who will the vampires be?
It could be ok, but I think it will miss the charm of the 80's and Corey's youthful charm...
I'd definetely go and see it though, if it went to the cinema

I watched the first two episodes of the two coreys and Feldman said he'd been offered a cameo but turned it down and Haim wasn't even approoached for it.
Must have changed their minRAB.

Warner (or any other studio) will never leave alone what will make easy money (and it will draw a good profit) due to the booming DVD market. The studio's philosphy is to make money-if they produce a piece of art, then great. But there view is to increase on profits.
This is why there will be CGI sequals for Gremlins,Ghostbusters and the Jaws franchise coming soon to DVD.

But in all fairness with Haim and Feldman it should be JUST better then The Hitcher 2 or the last 4 Hellraiser cash in's.

But I would of liked to of seen the for years talked about 'loose' sequel THE LOST GIRLS which to be directed by Joel Schumacher.

Appartenlty Tom Savini is in Lost Boys 2 according to Moviehole.net:

"While it’s starting to sound more and more likely that make-up and effects wizard Tom Savini will appear in anything he doesn’t have to whip up some fake heaRAB for – granted, he has done some cool turns in films like “From Dusk Til Dawn” and “Grindhouse” - it’s still cool to hear he’s part of the sorta-anticipated ‘’Lost Boys 2 : The Tribe’’.

Savini tells Fangoria Radio, “"I'm one of the first vampires you see in the movie. I'm a surfer who runs into the vampires at the beginning of the film, in a sequence that is shot very Sergio Leone-style. They're shooting The Tribe in Vancouver right now, and I'll be there September 11."

And here’s the big news, because Corey’s Haim and Feldman are now in the film – Warner are now going to release the film theatrically.

"Both Coreys are in it now," Savini said. "And originally it was going to be direct to video, but because of the success of their reality show, The Tribe is going to go theatrical."

I'll be keeping a close eye on this one as it may get a cinema release in the US, it might not get one in the UK.

But if they plan on a cinema release, lets hope they inject more money into it then as Warner's have a set budget for their direct to DVD productions and make it on par with the original.
