loss of tactile sensitivity, numbing electric shock sensations - most of body

Hi, 2 days ago after sitting down in a bad posture for an abnormally long time to meet a deadline (well over 24 hours) with very few breaks, I experienced an almost crippling electric shock that started at the neck and coursed through my body, followed by a tight feeling on my back. I assumed it was a harmless pinched nerve, with it barely being noticeable the next day.

Today, I woke up and occasionally felt large "bursts" of numbness/tingling/electricity, that'd last for a few seconds, touching it during such a a time would be like feeling your skin after having a local anesthetic - you could feel pressure, but nothing else.

This grew in intensity & frequency, with the sensations like a big elastic band wrapping around a part of you, single instant sharp pains, burning prickles, feels like its peeling & the feeling of cold water inside of you. It spread to my stomach/legs & right arm

I also developed...not sure how to describe this - a feeling of extreme lightness, I couldn't feel my arm moving,, it didn't even feel attached to my body unless I touched it, yet I could control it perfectly. I've felt this "it's not there" sensation with most parts of my abdomen/chest/back/arms/legs & back of neck, all leaving me very unbalanced & disoriented.
I also seem to have been hypersensitive to feelings at some points, with something as simple as my shirt touching my back will create a feeling that resonates through your entire body.

I'm not experiencing pain, but...oddly, I'd prefer pain to these sensations I keep getting, they're actually driving me insane and ignoring them is utterly impossible, more so by the fact that it's always changing into something else!

It seems to be most prevalent behind my back between both shoulders, center of chest and right of chest at bottom of ribs

Another symptom that I've developed since yesterday is frequent urination & trouble passing stools & waves of slight nauasea

I now doubt that this is simply a pinched nerve, I'm a usually a calm person, but this is the weirdest & most unpleasant & distracting thing I've ever felt. I've googled it but there seems to be nothing on it!

Just a fyi: I've realized that I usually end up sitting in a posture where I'm leaning forward, & craning my neck forward & I'm 19 years old.

If anybody could please make some suggestions as to what's causing this, how to fix it, if it's serious, if it'll pass... I need help!

Boroam I suspect from what you describe is you have a heavy metal toxicity and more specifically cadmium. Are you smoker? Cigarette smoke contains high amounts of cadmium. Another souce is ni-cad batteries. Do you handle a lot of those?
You may want to look into chelation.

Hi, I don't believe I have come into large amounts of any heavy metal - I don't smoke nor do I spend any time in an environment that has lots of it.

Anyways, I've got a new seemingly related symptom - there seems to be pressure with dull pain on both my chest & lower abdomen (right of belly button) whenever I take in a a deep breathe, sometimes causing a clicking sound on my back behind it - excluding a few positions.

My bladder/bowel problems also have gotten a little worse, with me being totally unaware of any sensation in my bladder until it seems near bursting point.

And...this is so weird that I keep telling myself it was my imagination - pushiing my right elbow, right by the neck caused me to hear... an inflation/blowing up a balloon sound from right underneath - but no feeling of air, pushing down the exact area aftwards would create the same sound, only less audible, eventually disappearing completely. I swear I wasn't imagining it!
...
My symptoms are so random and varied...some of which I never even knew existed. Am I losing my mind!?
