Losing weight, quitting smoke & starting sport?

hey.
i've smoked for a good 2 years, and i stopped playing basketball when i started smoking.
since then, my weight has just gone up.
firstly, i want to lose this excess weight as i felt much better about myself when i was this lower weight.
secondly, i want to quite smoking as i dont like the physical problems it causes me and also the economic side of it. my problem is though, i love the act of smoking. i feel free. relaxed. but my addiction makes me feel controlled.
finally, i want to start sport again. i feel basketball isn't for me again, but i wouldn't mind either 100m sprint or boxing.

at this moment, i am 6'3" and 12st10lbs 17 years of age
note; i gave basketball up due to ongoing confident issues.
i would love to return to it though.

Good for you for seeing the error of your ways. Hopefully after two years you're not too addicted to smoking and it won't be too difficult to give it up. I think it's best you decide which sport you're going to take up before you quit so that you'll have something to keep your mind off the cigs. Go for it - it took me over 40 years to decide to quit.
