Do you have any problems with your eyes and contacts when not riding? That is, do your eyes get really dry? Or do you get a lot more of mucous build up around the eyes than normal? Have you changed contact solution brands or contact brands before this started happening? Are you leaving your contacts in too long, or sleeping for any length of time with them in your eyes? Do you clean them before and after every use? Do you use a set of contact lenses longer than 17 days?
I'm not sure what the problem could be other than maybe the shape of the cushions inside pushing on your face in a way that alters how you blink. I never seem to have any problems and I have trouble with dry eyes. If anything the airflow into my X11 helps my eyes tear up a bit and keep the contacts wet.
I'd recommend PRK or lasik. I'm skipping suspension mods and investing in myself. First time home buyers check going straight into my eyeballs haha.
Sometimes, especially around allergy season, my eyes will momentarily reject one of my contacts, when it actually happened this morning. It hasn't happened while riding, but I was thinking about that today before I saw this thread.
See your eye doctor. It could be a fitment issue and may just need different lens. Also good idea to make sure there is no underlying eye disease causing the problem. You could also discuss Lasik surgery too.
I think I fixed the problem. Suomy sells what they call a helmet skirt which extends the padding in front of the chin and blocks out the airflow into the face area from below. No problems with losing lenses since.
Here's the issue. I don't want to deal with reading glasses. Lasik will correct distance but not near (yet). Mono vision lenses correct both near and far. i tolerate lenses extremely well. I can wear them for weeks at a time. Except when they fall out when riding.
If not for the near vision issue I would have had lasik a long time ago. And I will as soon as they can correct both.
