Lorraine Kellys' Big Fat Challenge.

I see in the Sky mag there is a new series of this with the Chawners again , and this time Lorraine wants to get them ALL into work. Now THAT is a Challenge!

I began to really quite like Emma and her sister. The girls had more stamina and were like the adults in the family. It was very noticable when they went to France to stay with that dreadful bossy woman and the Dad sulked like a kid because he couldn't go.
There wasn't much hope for the parents changing their ways though because they seemed to be very depressed people.
The saddest part at the end of the series was that although the girls lost a lot of weight, Mum and Dad both had medical problems that they had to face up to instead of comfort eating and ignoring their problems. I am not sure the unsympathetic Lorraine Kelly was the best person to deal with them.

The lazy scrappy little dog was the funniest thing ever. :D

I'd say Kelly was 2-faced but she isn't - she's got at least 4.

She made a lot of money out of being the 'face' of WeightWatchers at one time when she lost a lot of weight by going to their classes. She did interview after interview saying how great they were.

Then WW stopped paying her to speak for them and guess who did the interview rounRAB slagging off WW at every (paid) opportunity? She came out with some absolute lies about how the classes run and I'm surprised WW didn't sue her.

In the new Sky mag it said later this month, so I guess some time in July, Car Crash TV at its best ( or worst).

I believe they are repeating series 1 now on Bio early afternoon and very early morning 2am.

I am just watching series 1 now on Five, it has been on at 11.15 every morning.

I hope those girls do well, looking at the parents I think they have more to put up with than 'just' being overweight. That dad is not right in the head.

I did read about this in the paper and they made out they don't do so good??

I am glad to see they are giving them another go with series 2.

Hey guys,

Just a reminder that series 2 of the show, Lorraine Kelly's Next Big Fat Challenge is starting next Tuesday at 8pm on Bio.

This time Lorraine is attempting to get the family off of the sofa and back to work. Will it be second time lucky?

I only found out by sheer chance (reading the TV guide in my local takeaway) that there was a new series starting tonight.

If anyone hasn't seen it I'd really recommend it, I can't think of another recent show that's had me laughing, cringing and shouting so much...usually at the same time.

Also if you get the chance Little Miss Perfect's on before which is another of my top shows, well worth watching if only for the creepiest man on TV, 'Mr Micheal'

I'm honestly not in the pay of Bio and wouldn't bother watching 95% of their stuff but these two shows deserve a wider audience

We loved it too. Like a chavier version of the Osbornes. Missed it this morning. Hope they show the next series on channel five.

'Big' is probably a size 14 to this woman. She doesn't exactly live in the real world working in TV where most women are like stick insects.

I didn't know about that! So it looks like Lorraine will say anything as long as she's getting paid?

Me too. Can't stand her GMTV programme, all that fawning and 'lovely to see you, nice to see you' then never giving them a chance to answer questions or talking over them. Never watched it for a long time - is she still like that?

But not if she's getting paid seemingly.

I remember a long time ago she was gushing how marvellous cheap skin care and make up was as if she wasn't 'up herself' and used it because she liked a bargain. Months later in the Mail on Sunday magazine it had a list of all the skin/make up products she uses and, you've guessed, they were all designer and expensive! I've never believed a word she's said since then.

Just watched the latest instalment that was on last night, now Sam has a boyfriend the dad has serious issues, I`m shocked by his reaction! What a family...:(

I've watched both series of this show and it's hilariously funny but at the same time it's incredibly sad. :(

Phil's over reaction to the news of Sam's boyfriend was very strange. I could understand his point about her meeting him online, but his reaction was as I say, very strange. He would probably have reacted the same way if Sam met a boy in normal circumstances. He and Emma were mostly bothered about the fact that Sam could one day move out of the family home, and judging by what I've watched, Sam seems to be the one who has to do everything around the house. She's practically a mother to her sister and to her parents.

In the end, thousanRAB of pounRAB has been spent on that family during the two series and nothing has improved. They don't know how lucky they have been to have had that opportunity.

The saddest thing of all is that in most cases they haven't realised that they have been exploited and they only care about 'being famous'.

Me and mother just love this programme - so incredibly funny, though at times it did make me feel a bit queasy (Audrey weeing herself!!) Also, did anyone else find the opening credits funny? :o
