Lord of the Rings vs. Harry Potter!!!

Jk has had the last chapter of book 7 written for several years now. What really bothers me about the wizarding world is that there aren't enough checks to the powers of the wizarRAB or the ministry.
 
I don't have a problem of ommisions for the sake of time. I do have a problem with changing dialoge between characters, changing characters personalitites and motivations or adding scenes that the main characters never experience.


Did you know that Hugo Weaving, who played Elrond, also played agent Smith in the Matrix and Anthony "tic" Belrose in Priscilla Queen of the Desert
 
i agree...lol...i seem to agree with everything you say... :p ...nywaz...ya...that bothers me too. however, I don't exactly enjoy JK Rowling's writing style and when ever she talks about the ministry of magic, it bores me to sleep. for example, the first chapter in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince where she wrote about the minister of the muggle world and the minister of the magical world. so, in a way, i'm glad that she doesn't write a lot about the ministry... :rolleyes:
 
I slightly disagree with this LOTR fondess. I myself am a Harry Potter fan. Unlike The LOTR books they don't seem to be quite as dragged out and boring (though that's only my opinon) I find Rowling's book much more exciting, easy page turners. I rather read the Potter books and see the LOTR movies. Harry Potter on film is good but sometimes can differ alot from the book; and as I said I enjoy the book more. :xgood:
 
tat's cool...i use to be crazy about all Harry Potter stuff...like the books...the movies...the calenders..u name it!...but after watching the LOTR movies, i completely fell in love with LOTR...however, when i tried to read the books, it bored me to sleep. so...to sum it up...I love the LOTR movies and i like the HP books..though not completely in love with them for i dislike JK Rowling's writing style :p
 
Oh he was great in Priscilla I can't watch the matrix now with out seeing agent smith in a pink flip-flop dress and a large pink wig while lipsinking I will survive. Priscilla queen of the desert is a great funny movie.
