Maybe he's thinking of Aragorn confronting Sauron through the palantir. I think I read that that's shown in the extended edition of the ROTK, which I haven't watched yet.

I haven't been able to read any of the books as they are so long winded :yawn: but the films are OK. I do agree with ythe fact they are overhyped as I have seen many fims better that LOTR.

Couldn't agree more. But at least the movies were true to the books; they were turgid and dull as well...
