Hey guys!!

I'm new to this place and well basically I'm pretty scared. My body is doing so many crazy things and I've only been on this med for three months at a really low dosage and still can't get off of it. I just wanted to talk to someone who new what I might be going through and could provide some encouragement and perhaps coping mechanisms. Thank you all so much!!!

Hey!!! :) A big huge welcome to the board!! Im sorry that youre going through this at the moment but you have come to the right place. Im so proud of you for asking and looking for help
I agree with Scott, maybe go back and talk to your doctor? If your alarm bells are going off there is a reason. We all know ourselves when something isn't right. Definately go back and see your doctor and if your not happy with their decision see someone else. It's YOUR health and well being thats at stake. Too precious to mess with.
Please take care of yourself and let me know how you get on.
Big big hugs Rach

Hey!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for replying. Yes, I've been to my doctor and he wants me off the drug as quickly as I can get off. He basically said "Just get off of them". Yeah right. Anyways, he said that I should be on antidepressants and said that I would have to be on them for the rest of my life. I was prescribed them for anxiety and have been on them for approximately three months now - I was initially on them for a month saw that they were becoming addictive and tapered off of 1mg of ativan in a month. I know, I know....not good. I was okay for approximately 2 months and by ok I mean I wasn't having horrific withdrawal symptoms. Then it hit me and I started getting really bad stomach cramps. Now, I'm on o.25mg of Ativan everyday, I take 0.125 in the morning and 0.125 at night, but I simply can't get off and I'm having withdrawal symptoms being on this dosage as well. I don't know what to do and I'm really scared. I don't want to take more drugs as I am very drug sensitive. Has anyone out there done this before and if you have how????? Thank you for praying for me, I will really need it. THANKS SO MUCH!

Hi All,

Also a new meraber and I didn't Google about Lorazepam but here I am.
I started on Wellbutrin for depression/anxiety after the death of a Loved one.
The wellbutrin seemed to keep me stable but I still had times of anxiety/coping.
Since my doctor informed me that it could be addicting, I did try to curb my intake.
Of course, right after his death I would take one in the day and one(1 mg) in the evening. I then tapered off to only the evening and now I only take it when I am having a "moment" or would really like to get a good-night's sleep.
I periodically take 1/2 mg. or 1 mg. when needed.
I like to have it in the house and yet feel that I would be fine if I no longer had it available.
I know that deep breathing, meditation and Bach flower Rescue Remedy is a great alternative for anxiety. I used the Bach flower Rescue just today at work!

With Healthy thoughts, Ab

it sounRAB like your tapering about as low as possible ,is the antidepressent going to have an antianxiety . my mother does well with lexapro during the day , an amatriptalean at night . hope the best for ya scott:)
