Loose CA-53 cable

Suddenly my PC stopped recognizing my N80 when plugged into USB via the CA-53 cable. After lengthy head scratching, installing/uninstalling/re-installing PC Suite, etc, etc, I tried pushing on the cable at the pop port and voila... recognized! As soon as I let go, off goes the icon.

Never experienced what seems to be a loose contact at the pop port. Would replacing the cable solve it or is it likely something in the pop port?
 
same thing happens to me... always seems to be a loose fit, but when using the included headphones its always a tight fit... go figure...
 
This is why Nokia needs to eliminate the pop ports permanently and stick to mini usbs. My E50 (1 1/2 weeks old) was fine for the first few days but now I'm getting constant disconnects. It's so aggravating that I now just pop out the card and put it in my laptops reader. ...cant wait for the N95's miniusb damnit!!!
