I bought a 2000 honda civic LX from my mother in law for dirt cheap. It has 251,000 miles on it and is down to its last legs. Feels like its gona break down soon. The only maintenance done to it was the routine oil changes, and change tires and brake pads when needed. I dont know much about cars and am looking to restore this car to new status and possibly better with performance parts. My budget is $5000-$7000 for improvements. Once again I dont know much about cars and any suggestions would be great. Cold air intake? Headers? Exhaust?
