This may be classical or new age, but my best guess is that it's the theme to some movie, so I'm posting it in this section. The melody and rhythm below are approximate, and may be transposed.
Melody: C--EECCEFEDDDBB--
All C's are in the same octave, and all other notes are below and within an octave of the C.
Rhythm: The first and last notes are approximately 6 times as long as the other notes, all of which have approximately equal lengths.
Instrumentation: Initially the main theme is played on a piano, but eventually it passes on to the strings.
