Looking to get droid question about upgrade

im on a plan with my parents i do not qualify for an upgrade..my dad is willing to give me his upgrade..my concerns are the right away to go about doing this with ordering the phone online..last time i did this with my mom the phone came in i activated it under her number then switched it over to mine that worked great.



the problem i see this time is with this phone when i order it i have to also change my plan to the unlimited data so if im checking out with an upgrade for my dad that plan change will be on his number..



so now how do i go about doing the switch when i get the phone because for one month i dont want to be charge data on both lines when im only putting data on his line so i could order the phone sorry if this is confusing but can someone please tell me how i should go about doing this smoothly

you can just call verizon and tell them to change over the data plan to the appropriate line.

I did mine at Best Buy and got them to do it all for me, also got them to price match Wirefly which saved me $100 total on 2 DROIDs.
