looking to buy a honda CBR 600RR?

i am looking to buy a Honda CBR 600RR what prices should i be looking for? cheapest i got was around the 6k area, also i read any novice to expert can ride it, this would be my first bike is it a wise choice plus i can get cheap insurance on it, but for a first bike is it ideal?
 
Too extreme for first bike and could get you into situations that you are not ready to handle yet.
600s ok but get something a bit less extreme
