Looking to buy a basic phone - ROKR E1 reception?

I'm looking to buy a phone for my parents. I myself am a Motorola user but they prefer Nokia because of better signal strength and reception. I've been scouting around and i see that the ROKR E1 seems like a decent phone, cheap, great screen, and best of all it's not an old *** 2002 model and the good speakers could mean that i could borrow it once in a while. So i'm wondering if the reception is good, especially in low signal areas, are dropped calls frequent?

And while i'm here i'd like to list the criteria for their requirements in order of priority:

- Reception
- Decent screen (65k and up)
- Big keys (at least easy to handle)
- Price range $100-150

That's about it, i was seriously considering the Nokia 6170 because it looked very sturdy, great screen, and the keys look easy to press, but i found out the antenna is stored under the battery which -20% signal strength and it turned me off completely. So, opinions needed! And any suggestions welcome, both Nokia or Moto, thanks!

I say go for the ROKR!!!! I had one many moons ago and sold it because of lack of funds I'm fixing to order another one.. I have a Nokia 6102 and to me its CRAP!!! I just picked up one of the Motorola V235's from wal-mart for the wife and it seems to be a damn good phone for $97.00. Its got everything you where talking about wanting. IMOP it blows the 6102 out of the water.

You don't necessarily need to get the rokr e1. Even the e398 will do. And the e398 might be cheaper. The sound quality is excellent. Reception is very good and it is a very nice mp3 player too.
