I've been trying to find the name of a particular cartoon for a few months now, and in the interest of proving that I've not gone mad, I turn to the fine folks at rabroad in the hopes that someone else remembers it too.
It was a claymation short about a boy whose mother (or nurse, I don't remember) puts him to bed at night and turns out the lights. As soon as she does so the boy sees a bird-headed man with a lanky silhouette sneak into his room, and he freaks out. He either runs to her or she runs back in, turns on the lights, and proves that there's nothing there. Rinse and repeat two more times, after which the boy decides to believe her and tries to settle in for the night.
Immediately the bird man appears over his bed and pecks out his eyes. We see the bird man leaving the kid's room and flying back to his nest, where he feeds the eyes to his waiting chicks. Meanwhile, the kid stumbles out of bed and flails around, then the lights turn back on to reveal dozens of kids with empty eye sockets staring blindly at the camera.
Ringing any bells? Please tell me that this existed somewhere. I want to say it was on MTV when I saw it, but I can't remember.
