Looking For Good MP3/Camera Phone

I'm considering an phone upgrade and would like to make sure I'm not missing any obvious choices. I'd like to combine my cell phone, digital camera, and MP3 player. I have Cingular, so I need a GSM phone. For the digital camera, I usually only take pictures on trips and I don't think I've ever printed a photo I've taken with a digital camera (I mainly want them for showing on the Web or on a TV), so I don't think downgrading from my 5 MP stand-alone camera will be a big deal. The MP3 is player is much more important (I'll probably be using it almost as much as I make calls). My current MP3 player is a crappy unit with 256 MB on board and an SD slot (I used to have a 2 GB SanDisk Sansa before it bit the dust). Inexpensive and expandable memory (i.e. microSD) is a must. I really don't care about any other features, but I would like to get an unlocked and unbranded phone (I currently have a Samsung c417 and I hate how much Cingular crippled that phone). I'm willing to pay extra for this.

Given this, it seems like the Sony Ericsson w810i is a perfect fit (and it seems like you can get an unbranded, unlocked unit (that hasn't been imported from overseas) direct from Sony for $300). However, I did notice on Wikipedia that this phone apparently has several problems (the AAC tag problems don't matter to me, but I'm concerned about the others).

So is this the phone I should go with? Should I be worried about the audio problems? Or is there a better phone that fits my needs? Thanks.

Well the w810i sounds like it accommodates you perfectly. Dont worry about the bugs, if your really stressed out about things like that, then just get a different firmware. Im talking from personal experience, the w810i is a GREAT phone. It may not look the flashiest but it does the job perfectly.

I just got a Nokia N73, unlocked, and am on Cingular. I currently have a 1 GB MiniSD card in it. The MP3 player is good, the camera is excellent - 3.2 MP with AF, flash, and Zeiss lens.

That looks good, but the problem is that I don't need a lot of the Smartphone capabilities (I just need a phone, camera, and mp3 player), so it looks like I'd be paying an extra $150-$200 for functionality I don't need (and a bigger phone size as well). But thanks for the suggestion, and I welcome any more of them before I commit to purchasing a w810i.

that's what u say now but after you'll have a symbian phone for a few months and what that baby can do you defenately won't regret it

samsung p850, amazing 3.2mp camera with autofocus, supports 1gb transflash for music and movies, battery life is pretty good compared to my motorolas. and the design is just incredible.
