Right now i'm at the point where i've gotten our bills reoganized and filed. and everythings all neat. and i'm thinking about using quicken to log them on the computer, but all that doesnt help make a plan to pay them off...they're just in a pretty file...ALOT are past due and in collections.
Is there anywhere we can set up a plan to get things going? i'm in a credit counceling service for some old credit cards. but for everything else, it just keeps adding up...dr. bills, cell phone, credit, car insurance, etc.is there an easier way?

Good for you, organizing it all is the first step. Your next step should be to take stock of your income and expenses, and use the information from that to make a budget and repayment plan. Unfortunately there aren't any easier ways, your choices are bankruptcy (seems like a quick fix but it's costly in the long run) and paying them back. Start with the smallest bill and use anything extra to reduce it, after you pay it off, take the amount you were paying on that bill and apply it to the next one, you'll eventually get a snowball of debt repayments.
