Looking for deal on wireless e-mail cell phone (and service)...

Hi... I am planning on buying a cell phone equipped with wireless e-mail capabilities sometime in the next 2-3 days. After checking around with some of the major wireless providers the best deal I could find was with T-Mobile where, with my federal government discount, I can get:

- Blackberry 7290 for $74.99 (or the T-Mobile SDA for $134.99)
- 1000 unlimited minutes and unlimited e-mail, text, etc. for $51.50/month after discount (or 600 unlimited minutes and unlimited e-mail, data, etc. for $59.99/month if I get the T-Mobile SDA phone).

I was wondering if there are currently any better deals out there anywhere for these kind of phones? I only use an average of around 150-200 peak minutes/month on my cell phone (around 400 minutes total). I'm also interested in internet speed and it is my understanding that the T-Mobile SDA, with the EDGE technolgy, is faster than the Blackberry although you can probably type internet addresses and e-mails a lot faster with the Blackberry because of the keyboard set up (one button for each letter)?? Was also told that the Blackberry is a lot more user friendly than the T-Mobile so I was looking for advice on which is better, the Blackberry 7290 or T-Mobile SDA? The T-Mobile customer reps I spoke to told me the SDA is a lot better than the BlackBerry because the internet connection is faster and it has more features (camera, speakerphone, etc.) though I am not necessarily interested in these extra features except the speakerpohone... I am just looking for a device that I can use for a cell phone, read and send e-mail, and surf the internet at a reasonable speed. So if anyone can suggest a better deal than the two I reference above or suggest a choice between the BlackBerry and T-Mobile SDA that would be appreciated, thanks!!!

????????

with the blackberry. you are constantly on the net and receive emails all the time and they have been in the business since 1999. its their only thing, its email on a phone. so they specialize in that.

but the Tmobile SDA Is also very good. it's got all the functionality.. the familiarity of a windows operating system, and more. in my opinion, the SDA is more flexible and is a better choice. but it really depends what you need.. or waht you deem important
