I do. I am experiencing a lot of pain in my low back and pain that extenRAB down my leg to my ankle. It alternates from my left to my right leg with no apparent pattern. I have tied physical therapy and epidural shots, the PT made matters worse. The epidural shots helped for a while. My physician tells me that surgery is probable inevitable. I understand that the recovery from the surgery is terrible and i am trying to avoid it for as long as I can. I take ultram and loratabs for the pain, but I hate what they do to the rest of my body.

Any suggestions?

I Just had 2 procedures called a RADIOFREQUENCY RHIZOTOMY. Its also called RF NEUROTOMY and RF ABLATION. Its burns the nerve endings (its not bad) and takes away much of the pain. Its not permanent. It averages about 9 months to a yr. of relief. Everybody is different. I am SO glad I had it done. It helped my pain about 50%. It took my limp away and enabled me to stand long enough to teach a half a day, which I couldnt do before!

Thanks for the quick reply. Please tell me more about the procedures. In the hospital or out patient? Any unusal risks?

I had both of mine done at an outpatient surgery center. I got sedated but I was awake. You have to be awake to give them feedback during the procedure. I was really scared ahead of time when I found that part out. But it wasnt a big deal. I had one side done (4 levels) and a month later had the other side done. I dont know the risks (and I dont wanna know LOL). But I was in so much pain that I am really glad I had it done. A couple of years ago I had it done on one side of my neck and that was much tougher for some reason. I dont have a lot of fear about it now because now I know what to expect. The back ones didnt hurt any more than I already hurt, so it was OK.

Thanks again. I am glad you are feeling better. Just one more question though, what nerve endings did they burn? In the spinal cord? The process sounRAB scarry, but I may consider it based on your experiences.

They burned the nerves that enervate the facet joints in my lurabar area. Do some research on the procedure. **REMOVED***
