looking for an indestructable phone!

haha so heres the story. my girlfriend is very "thrifty" and never spends a lot on anything or ever buys anything really nice and expensive. as of now she doesnt work and i never got to talk to her much so i added her to my cingular plan and gave her my spare V551. like i said, shes never had an expensive phone so now i feel sorry for this poor phone... she has it inside the steamy bathroom while shes taking a shower and she drops it all the time. so now the antena broke off so it gets bad reception and i had to take apart and dry the mic and speaker from the water... i even had to mess with the flip indicator so it would switch to the outside LCD when closed because it was off from her dropping it so much. i was wondering since im selling my ROKR and will have a little extra cash, that i can buy her a phone that will be indestructable. i mean, i want something she can accidentally drive over and still be able to call me lol. any suggestions? only thing it needs is to be GSM with prefferably internal antena and camera. not very expensive either.
 
i'm not really sure you can find a camera phone that is that indestructable. the only thing i can think of that would take that much abuse are some old nokias or motos. Newer phones these days need to be babied.
 
ive beaten the crap out of my 7250i. dropped it on concrete numerous times.

even used it in the shower once.

just change the face plate, and voila, good as new!!
 
First, get rid of the girlfriend and buy yourself a new phone instead.

If you think she's worth keeping, buy her either a Nokia 5100 or 5140. Both can take the beating she gives them. Too bad the old Nokia 6250 is only dualband. It's the only phone I know that is completely girlfriend-proof!

we all live here in Bakersfield, CA (SoCal). all of our towers here are 1900 so our cingular sometimes sells off cheap phones that will work on 1900 because thats all we need...
 
The 6250 I'm talking about is a 900/1800 MHz phone that does not work in the US. It's been around a long time (3 or so years). If I recall the specs correctly, it can be dropped from 3 meters and can be submerged in 0.5 meters of water. It's about as girlfriend-proof as they get.

oh well nvm its close to that. honestly i dont like nokias so i dont know a 6250 from a 7454543252345... but i know it was somthing close to that...
 
samsung a670 for verizon...

my ex threw it out of a second story window, still works to this day. nothing wrong with display or menu or camera. but its old though, so yeah
 
woops for cdma, not gsm....

those old nokias were pretty bomb! 8260 and 5160 made it through hell, but i guess they won't work anymore
 
3220 would be your best bet, it seems impossible to break. I've let my cat use it as a toy, it's come out of my pocket while mountain biking, and sometimes I'll just drop it to show my friends what a tank it really is. Still works perfect and doesn't drop any calls.
 
Nokia 5140 i think is the best one. it has the anti shock rubber case, and is waterproof (it doesnt say it is on the box, but i watched Braniac Science Abuse and it turned out it was).
 
Well... my V902SH has been through lots of drops too (I'm quite accident-prone) as well as being hit multiple times against a pole (spinning around with my phone around my neck) and minor water exposure. Everythign still works great, but the camera has a bit of difficulty focusing. All I can say is that it's a bit expensive.
