Looking for a T-Mobile MDA Replacement

So I'm tired of my MDA. Ultimately, I'm tired of Windows Mobile as a whole. At first, I thought "Eh, not too bad, I can live with this". After about a year, I just can't. Can't stand the bugs, and the lacking ability to function as a phone.

However, I've gotten to the point where I also can't really live without Exchange synchronization for work. Need my calendar and email. Preferrably by method of native Exchange R2 active push sync.

Ultimately I can probably live without qwerty access, because the MDA's keyboard is freaking useless, and I've gotten this far on it. I also really dislike the "pancake" formfactor phones like the Q and BlackJack, Blackberries, etc.

I miss my old Color Sidekick, mainly because the keyboard on it was fantastic and the overall ergonomics were great. I don't think anything compares to that these days, sadly.

So here I am, trying to find a phone that fits me. I like the Nokia E50, though despite not being released in the USA yet, it seems outdated already. I like the E65 as well, though the not being released in the US thing is a problem. I kind of have a hard time jumping on a $500 handset that I can't put in my hand before buying it.

Aside from the two Nokias, I haven't really found a single other phone that I think is suitable. Any suggestions or reassurance about either the E50 or N65?

You might want to look at the Nokia e61i, even though you don't seem to care for the form factor. It has been getting very positive reviews, so it might be worth checking out. The e90 is reportedly on the way, and has all sorts of features in a non-pancake form, though it should be rather expensive. You might also want to consider the n80ie, which is now available (along with the e61i) through Dell at this link. If you live near Chicago or New York you can stop at the Nokia stores there to check the phones out.
