You seem like a stereotypical teenage guy looking for a fast car to impress the friends. I'm 18 and I too like fast cars but let me tell you that you shouldn't get a fast car when you're barely getting your license. But whatever, it's your money, your license and organ donor card.
Fast cars that aren't overkill for a guy your age:
Acura Integra 5-Speed Coupe (what I drive)
Civic SI
Celica GTS
Fast cars that ARE overkill for a guy your age:
BMW M3
Impreza WRX STI
Any Merc AMG car
Any American muscle car
Any European car
Also think about insurance. Don't think you'll be fooling insurance companies, they do their research on what cars are popular. They know the difference between an Integra LS and an Integra Type R and will charge you dearly for it. Also think about fuel economy. Having a car to drive around is great and all until you see that needle hit Empty, then the dollars start flying out of your wallet. Maintenance is a bitch as well. Personally I love my Integra because I can go online and look up a problem on support forums like team-integra.com, etc. Besides, Japanese cars are like legos so finding parts and fixing them are easy and relatively inexpensive compared to other cars. Good luck and I hope you don't kill yourself going fast.
