im with cingular now and they're using the 850 band, i could settle for the triband phones but then i'd be running 1900 band and the reception just isn't as great. any recommendations for phones non pda?

I'm a big fan of SE's. Cingular has the w810, z520, and w300. 3 really solid phones, great call quality, good feature sets. good bang for the buck.

The w810 is a nice phone, hav had it for a long time, but maybe we should be looking at SE's newer phones??

Like the k550i, that seems to be the w810 successor!

I personally, was not impressed by sony's new offerings. They appear to be just updated versions of the old phones with thinner enclosure's. If you aren't picky about thickness, you can pick up the older versions and save yourself some cash.
