BIG MAN ON CAMPUS
New member
I have grown tired of my T-mobile Sidekick 2 and have no desire to upgrade to the 3rd installment. The childish OS and the limits of this phone can be more than frustrating at times. The only thing I have found that I like about it is the keyboard and the messenging programs.
I have decided that I will be getting a PDA or Smartphone running WM5. I have pretty much narrowed it down to the:
Motorola Q
or... Cingular 8125 (HTC Wizard)
My brother has the Wizard and i have had experience with the phone and I must say it is nice. The phone seems to have limitless options unlike my sidekick. But the attractiveness of the Moto Q has led me in the other direction. The price was initially a factor for me, but after looking into it further, I have realized that they well both cost about the same (with unlimited data) because I would be joining my family plan on verizon. This is about 65 a month. The loss in minutes by joining verizon is also not a factor because I do not usually make many long calls.
Bottom Line, I am looking to see the pros and cons of the phones. What will I sacrifice in usability and software for the attractiveness of the Q? Because I am not a big phone user, which would be a better decision.
PS i would be using the 20$ a month MediaNet service from Cingular.
Thanks for replies (its my first post)
