Looking for a college-proof way to cook chicken, rice, and vegetables?

I just moved into my first house, I'm in my senior year of college. I haven't done much cooking. I just bought some boneless chicken cutlets, a whole bunch of vegetables (broccoli, peppers, zucchini etc.) and a giant bag of brown rice. I'm trying to be healthy. I found a nice recipe for the brown rice, and I think I can handle the chicken cutlets, every time I try to cook vegetables on the stove they wither and get mushy. Any suggestions? I'll try anything. Thanks!!

Try steaming your vegatables. If you don't have a steamer, get a pot with salted water, take metal strainer or steamer basket large enough to fit in the big pot but yet not touching the water very much. Cover and cook till the vegetables are soft. Season and eat.
