I live in the DC area and heard that cingular now has the best coverage (better than verizon) so I am going to make the switch

i am going to get a new phone and this is what's important to me

going from most important to least

1. Reception (im sick of having phones that die once i go in a persons basement)
2. size (i dont want a phone that is going to bulge out of my pocket)
3. speakerphone (i use this a lot and would like a good one)

i may want bluetooth as well.. just for the earpiece.
everything else isnt very important

Id rather not spend any money on the phone (signing up for a 2 year contract so Im sure i have a lot of options for free phones)

I'm also in need of a Cingular phone with good RF. After using it as a phone, what I most need is to be able to get signal in my apartment, which is a garden apartment in Astoria, Queens. I looked at the Motorola V551 but I'm not 100 percent sure it fills the bill.

Get the Nokia 6102 it is 29.99 on the Cingular website. But I think you can get it for free from a third party dealer. Any I had this phone for a little bit. First of all it looks stylish, second it's Nokia so the reception is always great. The speaker is one of the best I have had in sound. Sometimes it is not so clear, but it's unnoticable. It is pretty small and fits into your pockets. It plays MP3 format ringtones, it has a FM radio. The reason I returned it, was that I need bluetooth. Forget to mention, the camera is above average for a VGA.
