I don't see how it's "shocking" when you read it in context (and realize that this article was originally published in the 90s). Also, the Looneyland bit is from 1956. It's long dead in the past and nothing to get excited over.

Also, there's Six Flags. So in a way, "Looneyland" did kinda happen after all.
