Longest Running Animated Property?

But how exactly is Scooby Doo the longest running property? Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Disney still putting Mickey, Donald and Goofy in new TV shows and DVDs?

And of course there's always new Tom and Jerry material being produced.

The Scoobster started in 1969, and it made many spinoffs, like The New Scooby Doo Movies, Scooby Doo & Scrappy Doo, The Richie Rich/Scooby Doo Show, 13 Ghosts, A Pup Named Scooby Doo, DTV movies made by Hanna-Barbera and Warner Bros. Animation, etc.

And the only thing I see with Mickey, Donald and Goofy is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

But you are saying property. Mickey and the gang have been featured in animated shorts and several cartoons (The most recent being Mickey Mouse Clubhouse). Mickey has been shown in animation and has become an icon for the art has decades. Just because you never saw, doesn't mean it don't exist.

Mickey's first apperance: 1928.
Scooby's first apperance: 1969

But the question's confusing...the guy's talking about number of episodes, but "longest running" refers to length of time. Two different concepts.

'Cause hell, if we're talking about pure length of time an animated character's been around, we're heading into Felix the Cat territory, aren't we?
